He climbs into bed next to me and holds an arm out for me to curl into his side. I rest my head on his chest smiling to myself.

“Dominating?” Jay offers, I nod into his chest. “Yes. I’m a ruthless businessman who gets what he wants. I don’t know how to be any other way.”
“This taking things slow isn’t working is it?” I tease.
Jayden laughs as he runs a hand over my hair.
“No, it’s not. I can’t take things slow with you. You have consumed me. Every breath I take belongs to you, every second of every day I want to be with you, touching you, hearing that laugh and seeing you smile. You make me feel things I have never felt before.”
“And what about when you get what you want? Will that be the end of it?” I ask nervously. I feel every muscle in my body tighten as I hold my breath.
“No sweetheart, I don’t think it will. I don’t think I will ever get enough of you.”
I slowly let out my breath as I close my eyes and go back to resting my head on his firm chest.
“That will change once you realise, I am too much of a burden. Once you see me like you did today a few more times you will get sick of it,” I reply quietly.
“I could lie here for the rest of my life and tell you that I will never get sick of looking after you. But I know you will never believe me. I am a true believer that actions speak louder than words. So, I’m going to show you every day that you are not a burden.” I feel Jay’s hand run over my head as I let myself relax into him. “Now go to sleep, you’ve had a rough couple of days, and I plan on keeping you awake long into the night tomorrow.”
I smile into his chest as I let my eyes close, and relax into the feeling of his chest slowly rising under my head and his hand on my hair as he softly strokes it until I drift off to sleep.
