“Because I love it,” he suddenly declared, “and so do you when it’s like this…just enough to give you a nice warm sting. But remember, if I need to, I’ll spank you properly. You know that, right, Ellie?” he demanded, landing several hard swats.

“Yes, yes,” she cried.

“No temper tantrums like you throw at home.”

“I don’t throw temper tantrums!” He responded with two quick, hot slaps to her sit spot.“Okay, okay, maybe I do.”

She heard him sigh, then a moment later he placed himself at her entrance and thrust forward. For what felt like a blissful eternity, he pitched in and out of her, occasionally pausing to lean over and fondle her breasts, or whisper in her ear and kiss her neck. But whenever she felt her climax building, he seemed to know, and would stay buried inside her while he smacked her and teased her clit.

“Please, Noah,” she pleaded, unable to stand it one more moment. “I need to come.”

“Me too, darlin’,” he grunted, and with his hands gripping her tightly around the waist he vigorously plunged in and out. “I’m at the edge and I’m not gonna stop. Let go!”

His sharp command hurtled her into a series of glorious spasms. Waling and writhing until the convulsions waned, she finally dropped on her stomach. A moment later he was beside her pulling the blanket over them and holding her tightly. Closing her eyes she was savoring the moment, until she heard the distant sound of Jason Aldean singing I’ve Never Met A Girl Like You.

“Damn, my phone,” Noah grunted, rolling away and reaching for his jeans.

“I haven’t heard it ring with that song before.”

“That’s because I only added it after we got back this mornin’,” he replied. “It’s all about you.”

“Noah…I don’t know what to say.”

“It’s Matt. I’d better answer. Hey, Matt. Any news?”

“Yeah, is Ellie with you?”

“Yep.”

“Put me on speaker.”

“Okay, you’re good to go.”

“Hi, Matt.”

“Hey, Ellie. I just wanted to let you both know the FBI arrested Michael’s men when they showed up at the house, and I handed over the briefcase. The agent I talked to said that kid who was drivin’ will make it, and apparently he wants to spill the beans on everything he knows. It’s just a matter of time before the Aiken organization is completely dismantled”

“That’s wonderful news,” Ellie said happily. “Thanks, Matt, for everything. You’ve been incredible.”

“Hey, you were the one who knew Joey was alive. Anyway, I must run. I’ll catch you later.”

Ending the call, Noah slipped back under the blanket.

“Matt’s right about that,” he said, lowering his voice and pulling her back into his arms, “and he was right to let you come with us.”

“Thanks, Noah.”

“Why do I get the feelin’ there’s something else you wanna say?”

“Because there is,” she mumbled, “but maybe I shouldn’t…”

“Hey, I’ll make this easy. I love you too, Eleanor Mitchell, and you’ve made me a very happy cowboy.”

“Actually,” she began with a sassy smile, “don’t you mean I’ve made you a very happy stallion?”

EPILOGUE

Ellie had made two trips to the lake house to collect the rest of her things. Realizing there wasn’t enough space in Noah’s bedroom, the guest room became her closet, dressing room and studio. But she still hadn’t made any effort to contact her father and tell him about the permanent move. When he called and said he’d just arrived home and wanted her and Noah to come to dinner, she was about to broach the subject when he beat her to it.
