Time for adult fun.

Eddie was on the couch, shoes off, feet tucked under her calves. He suspected she had sat down there so as not to make it totally obvious to the sitter she was spending the night. As if he cared what a teenager with purple hair thought. Hell, she probably didn’t think anything. Most likely she didn’t care what “old people” did. At least that’s how he had been at that age.

His father could have been banging all of Beaver Bend when he was fourteen and he wouldn’t have noticed because he was only focused on humans under the age of twenty.

Besides, the sitter and everyone else in town might as well get used to Eddie being in his house. He intended for her to move in as soon as they acclimated Finn to the idea. Finn seemed to really like Eddie and he was an incredibly flexible kid. He had to be. His life had been what some might consider chaotic, sleeping over at his grandfather’s, his aunt’s, Lilly’s before she’d been with Liam, and occasionally at various homes of Sullivan’s friends. It never seemed to bother him. Finn was a happy and well-adjusted child.

Whenever Sullivan was feeling guilty that Finn didn’t have the most traditional of childhoods, with a single father who worked nights, he also reminded himself that it took a village to raise a child, and he was damn fortunate to have one. Finn was beyond well loved.

“Where’s Licorice?” she asked.

“She’s in her crate in the laundry room. The baby-sitter just took her out. Damn, I can’t believe you’re on my couch,” he said to Eddie, ripping off his tie as he crossed the living room. “I’m tempted to tie you up with this so you don’t disappear on me.”

“Why would I disappear?” she asked, tossing her hair back. She’d removed his jacket from her shoulders and placed it on the back of the dining chair.

“Because you’re a dream. That’s why. I could have never imagined when I woke up this morning that I’d have you here with me tonight.” Sullivan kicked his shoes off. He sat down next to her, brushing her hair back off her face. “You’re so beautiful.”

Eddie looked nervous. “Not a dream. Just me. Average me.”

“What does that mean?” Her shoulders were tense and she hadn’t unfurled her feet from where they were tucked under her legs.

“What if I can’t… what if I’m not… what if you…” She looked agonized. “I’m not good sexually. I told you that. What if I can’t satisfy you? All those women…”

There had been a few times Sullivan wished he’d spent less time trying to fuck away his grief with various women, but never as profoundly as now. But it was his past, it had happened, and he couldn’t change a damn thing now.

He felt a wave of tenderness like he’d never experienced before. Damn, he loved this woman. She was such an intriguing mix of confidence and sweet insecurity. He wanted to reassure her over and over that she was perfect exactly as she was.

“Hey,” he said, brushing his hand over her mouth so she would stop speaking. “I don’t want to hear any disclaimers, okay? This isn’t about the past. This is about you and me, right now. We’re just going to do what feels right, whatever that is. And whatever we do is going to satisfy me because it’s you and me and I love you.”

She still looked unconvinced.

There was only one way to reassure her.

And it wasn’t by talking.

He kissed her slowly, lazily, exploring the feel of her lips beneath his, the taste of her mouth. She began to relax, just slightly, but she didn’t wrap her arms around him. He found it fascinating that a woman as beautiful as her, who had walked fashion runways, doubted she was sexually appealing to him.

Sullivan rested one hand on her waist, the other eased into her hair. He took his time kissing her, because they had forever and he wanted to learn everything about her, about her body. He wanted to have the privilege of knowing what turned her on, what made her gasp with pleasure, and what made her come.

Eventually as he kissed her, when her shoulders were no longer up around her ears from tension, he shifted his hand so that it was resting on her thigh just north of her knees. Her skin was soft and smooth and he used his thumb to caress her flesh.

“I’ve had dreams about you,” he murmured as he dropped light kisses on her neck.

“Really?” She sounded pleased by that. “What happened in them?”

“All kinds of sexy things. Once we were in a hot tub and you were on my lap, grinding up and down on my cock while I sucked your tit.”

“We were naked in the hot tub? Where was this hot tub?” Eddie asked, easing her head back to give him better access.

“Deep in the woods. Completely private.” He actually didn’t remember where the hot tub was, but he was just trying to distract and relax her.

“That sounds nice.”

Nice wasn’t what he was looking for. “You had your thighs spread on either side of me and you were taking my cock so damn eagerly, Ed. You wanted that cock.” He knew she had an issue saying cock out loud but that didn’t mean she didn’t like to hear it. It actually seemed to both arouse and fluster her, both of which worked in his favor.

“I did?” She had wrapped her arms around his neck now and was shifting closer into him. She had relaxed her legs and her knees went slack, drifting apart.

“You did.” He shifted his hand up higher under her dress, stroking higher and higher until he’d reached the apex of her thighs and the little scrap of fabric covering her sex. “You said to me, “I’m fucking this cock, Sullivan. I’m fucking it so hard.”
