“Call us the moment he wakes up,” Leyton said.
I nodded. “I will.”
Leyton hesitated but stepped out of the room and let the door close behind him. The soft beeping of his heart monitor was the only noise left. Ramsey didn’t even snore as he lay there. I stood up and walked to the bed to peer down at him.
