“What does that mean?” he asks, looking at me as if slightly annoyed.

“Oh, just that you’re willing to play petty games. Didn’t see that one coming. You’re just full of surprises tonight.” I lean into him because everything in my body wants to be in his space.

He hums a deep sound and I can feel his stare, but I look out my window to avoid being completely sucked into his lust-filled orbit.

I don’t jump when his large, warm hand lands on my bare knee.

“I don’t play games, Ms. Winters,” his low voice says in my ear. A shiver of energy shoots down my spine when he speaks formally, but his tone is oh so dirty.

His fingers stroke up my knee to my thigh. I sit completely still as I watch his wandering hand.

When we arrive at my apartment, Theo gets out of the car first, then holds out a hand for me to take.

Anticipation weighs heavy in the air between us and I hope he isn’t about to walk me to my door and kiss me good night like some chivalrous knight. I’m filled with hope when he leans closer to the passenger’s side window and tells Tom he’s free to go.

Theo’s hand finds its way to the small of my back as I lead him to my apartment. At my door, my fingers shake and I fumble with my keys. He puts his hand over mine and gently helps me unlock the door, then he eases me over the threshold.

The door shuts with a subtle click and I’m just about to offer him that bottle of water when Theo spins me around and pins me against the door. Without hesitation, he presses his lips to mine and devours me with a kiss that could easily knock me off my feet. I run my fingers along the back of his neck and he lets out a growl that vibrates through me, straight to my core.

Theo’s the first to break our kiss, but I don’t let him get far. My hands cling to his shirt for a split second before I fumble with the buttons, desperate to get him out of it. Amused, he looks at me with a sassy smirk. “You’re not so sunshiny now.”

“What?” I nearly squeak, my head still spinning from his kiss.

“You. You’re all smiles and sunshine all the time. Except for now.”

“Oh, really? And what am I now, Mr. Serious?”

“Now you look like a little feral…”

Deep down, I know it should offend me, but the way he chuckles sets me on fire. “You’re such an asshole.”

“You have no idea,” he growls as he pulls the top of my dress.

Theo licks his lips and takes me in before he takes my hand and pulls me over to the couch. “I want to taste you,” he whispers, laying me back on the sofa. “To see how sweet you are when you explode on my tongue.”

I never thought I was one for dirty talk, but hearing Theo use my words from weeks ago against me like that only turns me on more. “Please,” I beg.

He buries his head between my thighs. At first, his touch his soft and teasing. But once his tongue swipes against my sensitive flesh, he’s like a man possessed.

My toes curl, and my vision starts to blur as my pleasure builds to its peak. With my fingers digging into the top of his head, his name falls from my lips.

I open my eyes and suck in a breath as I come down from the high Theo has me on to find him leaning back on his haunches and grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“That… was better than I could ever imagine.”

“More,” I purr. “I need more.”

Theo nods and quickly stands and retrieves a condom from his wallet.

“Bedroom.” I stumble to my feet and take his hand. “Now.”

He lets me take the lead, but not for long.

Soon enough, Theo has me on my back, my ankles on his shoulders while he fucks me the way only a man like him can.

I’ve lost count of the number of times Theo’s made me come. The way he’s able to manipulate my body, satisfying my needs and then some is… simply put… amazing.

At some point, Theo gets that bottle of water I never got around to offering and we both finally succumb to pure… sated… exhaustion.
