Where are you?

While I waited for her reply, I rubbed my face to wipe away the sleep from my eyes.

My phone dinged.

None of your business.

“So fucking stubborn,” I muttered to myself.

This was not how I envisioned our first morning as newlyweds. Throwing my phone on the bed, I jumped in the shower and got ready for the day. After I was dressed in my suit, I called down to valet to bring me my car.

Thirty minutes later, I was walking into her office.

“Kitten, what the fu—”

She lifted her finger in the air, signaling she was on the phone. “Yes, Mr. Saxon. Everything is on schedule for—”

In five long strides, I yanked the phone out of her hands. “Daniel, we just got married yesterday, and we leave for our honeymoon tomorrow morning. If you need to know logistics, call Mark in engineering.” With that, I hung up.

She snapped, “How dare you undermine me like that?”

“If you give him an inch, he’ll take a mile.”

“That’s my job!”

“No, it’s Mark’s job. The only job you have for the next two weeks is riding my cock.”

“Ugh! We had sex all last night.”

“And you’re ovulating for the next six.”

She loudly gasped. “How the hell do you know that?”

“I looked at the calendar on your phone. You made it nice and easy for me. You track everything.”

“Why on earth would you snoop at my personal—”

“I need to get you pregnant, and I don’t go into anything unprepared.”

“Oh. My. God. Just when I think you can’t get any worse, you go and prove me wrong. I can’t believe you. That’s private information.”

“We’re married now, Mrs. Hawkins. Get used to it. What are you doing here anyway?”

“What does it look like, asshole? I’m working.”

“Bullshit. Try again. With the truth this time.”

“Ugh! Fine! When I need to clear my head, this is what I do.”

“How’s that working out for you?”

“Just peachy before you bulldozed your way in here and started barking orders like I’m your dog.”

“What are you clearing your head from?”

“You!”

“Me?”
