“That means he could be someone we know,” Priest stated soberly, all laughter gone. I agreed, but who? Everyone who knew us knew not to fucking impersonate my club. It was a fucking death sentence.

My brother Pyro added. “And we have another issue.”

“What?” I asked, as the door flung open as a fiery redhead glared at me with a toddler on her hip and a very precocious five-year-old standing next to her. My niece, Jessica Montclair Keller, was the only living descendant of my sister Cassandra. The only reminder we had that our sister once roamed this shitty earth. Jessica was also the wife of Lucas Keller, also known as Savage. The Sergeant of Arms for the Golden Skulls Motorcycle Club.

“Jessica!” I shouted, jumping to my feet, as Hailey shrieked, running for Priest, who picked her up.

“Banshee,” my club brother smiled, kissing the little girl’s cheek. “Have you been a good girl?”

“Yep!”

“Jessica. What are you doing here?” I asked, as she handed off the toddler to Pyro, who grimaced when he took possession of the boy.

“Fuck Jessie, what are you feeding him?” Pyro groaned. I felt his pain. Shane, or as we all liked to call him, Bruiser, was a hefty little boy. He was definitely going to be a big boy when he grew up.

Ignoring Pyro, Jess replied, “The kids and I need a place to stay for a while.”

I smiled brightly. “Are you finally leaving that fucker?”

Everyone knew there was no love lost between me and Savage. He hated me for killing his father back in the day, and that pissant would never be good enough for my niece.

My niece narrowed her eyes. “No asshole. I’m not. You told Savage that if shit ever got too bad that he was to ship me here. Consider myself shipped. Now where the hell are the kids and I sleeping because if we are staying in the clubhouse, those skanks have to go.”

“Priest, Frank, take the kids to the kitchen and get them something to eat,” I said, never taking my eyes off Jessica. “Pyro, stay.”

Everyone filed out, leaving Jess and Pyro. As my brother shut the door as Jess sat, I asked. “What’s going on?”

“Hell, if I know. It’s a mess over there, King. No one knows anything and those that do aren’t saying shit. All I know is that my brother is dead. His wife and kids have disappeared. The club has fractured. Those with Ghost on one side, and those with Chaos on the other. Chaos is going after the chair and Ghost is trying to keep everything together. The club recently learned that Chaos aligned himself with Satan’s Angels. Savage doesn’t want me anywhere near the club, so he told me to pack what I needed and head for you. He said you would know what to do.”

“This is your home too, Jessica. It always will be. What about the twins?”

“Savage had them moved to a hospital nearby. They are still small but getting bigger. I figure they will need at least another week in the NICU before I can bring them home.”

“They at Rosewood Memorial?” I asked. Reaching for my phone, I dialed a number as my niece nodded yes. “Hawk, I need you to send a prospect over to the hospital and watch my nephews. Call Claudia and set up a round-the-clock watch until I say otherwise and have a few of the boys get cabin three ready. Jess and the kids are staying for a while.”

Hanging up the phone, Jessica asked, “Who’s Claudia?”

“Dr. Claudia James,” Pyro said, before I could. “She’s a good friend of the family. We’ve known her all our lives. She is also on the board at the hospital and the best at what she does. She will make certain that the hospital provides the twins with the services they need and that they are safe.

“Jess, I’m putting you in cabin three. It’s a three bedroom and set back on the property but close to the clubhouse. This club isn’t like the Golden Skulls, sweetheart. Every brother here is prior military. We take security seriously. We patrol this club twenty-four seven. Brothers are not shy and will do whatever is necessary to defend this place and everyone in it. You will see brothers walking around armed. They are for your protection. Your cabin has a working kitchen. It’s fully stocked with everything you’ll need, but you are more than welcome to eat with us. We won’t interfere with your daily life, but if I feel a threat to you or the children, I will lock you down. Okay?”

My niece nodded. She looked tired and worn out. I didn’t know what the hell was going on over in Tennessee, but I was thankful that Savage got her out of there. I wasn’t joking around with him when I told him I would kill him and everyone associated with the Golden Skulls if club shit ever touched her. Jess and the kids were all I had left of my sister, and I would kill every motherfucker to protect her.

“What about Savage?” Pyro asked.

Jess hung her head and sighed. “I don’t know Uncle Chase. He’s torn. He wants to protect me and the kids, but he can’t leave Bullseye. I know why and even though he blames Bullseye for Kitty’s death, that man is walking around with his sister’s heart in his chest. Lucas feels some sort of warped obligation to protect him, or at least the last living piece of his sister. It’s all fucked up.”

“Well, you and the kids are more than welcome anytime.”

“Even Lucas,” Jess grinned, knowing how I felt about the bastard.

Growling, I reluctantly nodded. “Even him.”

A swift kick to the door had me looking up as Jess and Pyro turned around as Bailey walked in all sleepy eyed. I smiled. “Hey Cupcake. Good nap?”

My woman scowled. “Need a ride back to town.”

“Why?”
