“I don’t know.” Her quiet answer was followed by another huff as she shrugged. “He should’ve read my mind.”

I was smart enough to know not to disagree with her but I wasn’t going to agree with something that ridiculous. So I changed topics slightly. “What would he have told us?”

That got me another huff but she seemed too distracted to realize I hadn’t reinforced her theory of Ender’s mind-reading abilities. “He’d have said to be nice about it if you decided no but that I wanted to bring over clothes for tomorrow just in case I spent the night… and he’d have said I wanted to spend the night and have lots of cuddling time. Nothing else, if those were the limits we set up. Limits are important.”

Ah. That explained a lot about why she was so jittery. “Well, then I’d have told him that it was also something Harper and I were considering. We’d just decided to bring it up after you’d gone on a single date with Harper. That seemed like a logical plan.”

Group date.

Single date.

Single date.

Sleepover.

It’d been a logical plan… but we’d forgotten to take Tabitha’s fears and curious logic into account. That had been a mistake on our part.

Tabitha went very still again, possibly surprised we’d already been thinking about it too. She seemed to think that not wanting to rush meant going slow forever, but that wasn’t the case. “He’d have liked that plan.”

He’d have appreciated us thinking about it but I had a feeling he’d have pointed out that Tabitha never did anything logically. “Because he’s very rational but that doesn’t mean we have to stick with that plan since we hadn’t talked to you about it yet.”

“No two against one.” I let out an overly dramatic sigh that got another laugh from her as she reinforced her point. “That’s the rule.”

“I agree. That means we need to talk to your Daddy. So, should we grab your bag and tell him that you’re going to spend the night?” It seemed to take a lot of nerve for her to nod, so I kissed her head. “And we’ll figure out sleeping arrangements based on what you’re comfortable with.”

“We’re… whatwe’recomfortable with, Sir.” As I chuckled, she poked my stomach. “This isn’t one against two. Everyone gets a vote.”

Kissing her head again, I nodded. “That’s right, but I also happen to be very sure what my answer would be, and Harper’s for that matter.”

That got a giggle from her. “Daddy was talking about wanting to tuck me in the other day.”

So did that mean his Miss Tabitha was spending the night or was our kitten spending the night?

Realizing we’d figure it out later, I pushed the question to the back of my mind and huffed, pretending to be frustrated. “As long as he’s confessing his fantasies, not mine, that’s fine.”

And that got me another giggle as she straightened, kissing my cheek. “That wasn’t Daddy’s fault. You’d been sneaky.”

Snorting, I narrowed my gaze at her as she grinned and nearly bounced to the back of her car. “Wewere sneaky. That wasn’t just my idea.”

As she grabbed her diaper bag and a small duffel bag out of her trunk, she cocked her head and gave me wide eyes. “I’m Daddy’s sweet girl. Of course it wasn’t my idea.”

Rolling my eyes got another giggle from her as she shut the trunk and walked slowly to the front of the car, still playing the innocent victim as she swung the bags back and forth. “I’m Daddy’s good girl.”

“And my naughty little kitten.” Pulling her into my arms, I gave her a quick kiss, knowing Harper was probably wondering what the fuck was going on. As I stepped back, I took her duffel bag and nodded toward the door. “We’ll have to see which one has the sleepover, Daddy’s good girl or the naughty kitten.”

That had her face scrunching up so cutely that I laughed. “That’s so hard, Sir.”

Since I wasSir, I had a feeling that gave me a clue about which way our night would go, but we’d see. Stress could very easily make her slip into her little headspace and that could change the entire course of the night.

Taking her hand, I led her up to the house to make sure we actually got there and didn’t just end up chatting in the driveway all night. “So are you saying that you want us to decide how the evening goes?”

That had her straightening and going still at the bottom of the porch stairs. It was like a light bulb had gone off over her head. “Yes, you’re my Doms. That’s right. You should make those decisions. I gave you my list and answered Daddy’s questions. Yes. That’s right.”

She’d just realized now we could make decisions for her or she’d just now realized we were her Doms?

Nope. I wasn’t going to question Tabitha logic.

“Did you call Daddy and tell him about the plan?” She smiled as she saw him peeking out the window, and if she’d had a free hand, she’d have given him a little wave. “The first plan.”
