His warm mouth found one peaked nipple while his fingers paid attention to the other, working me right back up. He shifted so that his cock was nestled against my pussy. Each time I rocked or ground against him, bolts of lightning shot through me. It was yet another tease, but I didn’t care. I rutted against him, using him for my own gain now.

The alpha’s purr had gone from soft and reassuring to goading, hyping me up as much as his mouth and fingers were.

Giving in to his demands, I ground against him until I was close. Nonsensical words escaped my lips as I set a desperate, needy pace. This orgasm was just as intense, leaving me breathless and shaking as I rode it out. It was his name that fell from my lips as I reached the peak of my climax.

His answering growl was my only warning before he moved into place and slammed home. If I hadn’t been so fucking wet for him, it might have hurt, but my body was made for this, made forhim.

“You’re so fucking perfect, omega. Warm and tight for me. Tell me how much you need this,” he taunted.

“I want you, Cyrus. Give me your knot,” I begged again.

This time, the alpha complied. I didn’t know if it was because I’d pleased him, or if he just couldn’t hold back anymore. His knot swelled, pushing my body further into the whirlwind of pure bliss I was feeling.

He continued to thrust his knot into me, a little at a time, but the purring and my impending orgasm made it feel amazing.

“Mine,” he growled as he came, sliding his fingers over my clit so I was forced to come with him. It was the most I’d ever come with a partner, and I had a feeling this was him going easy on me.

Cyrus kissed me again as our bodies locked together, one hand on my jaw in a sweet and possessive move. Warmth spread through my chest as his amber eyes bore into mine. I’d never felt so seen and cared for.

I also felt like an asshole.

There were so many secrets between us. He had no idea why I was here. But I was embracing this new life and right now, that meant giving my mates a chance as long as it wasn’t out in the open. There was no way to know how this would end, so for now I was going to fuck who I wanted, when I wanted, and keep my secrets close to my chest.

Especially since the only alternative was death.

When Cyrus was finally able to pull free of me, he stood up and took my hand, bringing me with him to the bathroom. It was unexpected, but the alpha showered with me, gently washing my body.

Any moment I started to feel uncomfortable with the intimacy, he would capture my attention and chase the anxiety away as quickly as it had started to build.

“Wait, you never told me why you were here,” I finally said, breaking the silence.

“That’s the first thing you say to me after I fuck you senseless?” He raised one eyebrow, but his eyes sparkled with amusement.

“I mean, I think me coming that many times was enough of an answer,” I deadpanned.

He gave me that same cocky smile, clearly proud of himself. Then he sobered up some. “The senator sent me to fetch you. Someone wanted to meet with you. I suggest we get dressed and blame our tardiness on traffic.”

“Good thing we showered,” I said as we finished and stepped out, drying off and pulling on our clothes. No matter how many times I turned it over in my head, I couldn't figure out what he could possibly need from me at seven on a Thursday night.

“Do you have any clue what this is about, other than a meeting?” We stood at the door, my hand on the knob.

“There was an incident,” he admitted. “We really should hurry.”

ChapterSeven

Bailey

What Cyrus had downplayed as a simple incident wasmuchworse. The entire office was in chaos when I arrived, making it damn near impossible to fight through the crowd. I quickly found out that somebody had deliberately caused a car accident involving the senator, one that could have proven fatal. Thankfully, his driver had been quick to react, so that had helped avoid most of the damage.

Yet somehow the man who’d caused the accident had managed to stumble away from the scene and escape before the authorities arrived.

Of course, the car was stolen. Though now thanks to traffic cameras and dash cams, his face was all over the news and the sympathy for the senator was rolling in. No matter what people’s sides were in the political scene, the boldness of such an obvious attack was jarring. The senator’s opponents were forced to publicly declare their “relief” for his well-being, though their smiles looked as forced as the words.

“I’m so glad you’re okay,” I told him as soon as I reached him. I made sure my face was the perfect blend of concerned and fearful, and his expression softened when he saw me.

“Don’t you worry, I was in good hands,” he promised as he gestured at the two mountainous men that stood behind him. Both alphas were twice the size of Cyrus. “I have my own security now. We’re just going to have to be a little bit more careful, and we’ll make sure that you’ll be safe, Bailey. We can’t let our campaign’s best omega get hurt, can we?”

“I’d sure hope not.”
