Without missing a beat, he fell into rhythm, his mouth suctioning over my sensitive clit, his hips resting against my hand. My fingers curled into the flesh of his rear as I closed my eyes.

“So wet,” he breathed, his words only bringing me higher. “Always so wet for me, Princess.”

I groaned, unable to hold back anymore, my orgasm building and building until I released with ecstasy shooting through every nerve.

My body shook beneath our 69 position, but Elijah didn’t slow his groove, the feeling of his sack tightening against me telling me that he was about to join me in this haze of pleasure.

“I’m going to come down your throat,” he rasped. “Are you ready for me?”

I could only mumble an answer, my mouth full until he did exactly as he promised. Panting and sweating, Elijah peeled himself off me to prop himself at my side, untangling the strands of hair from my face as I wiped the corners of my mouth.

“I’ve missed you,” he murmured, staring at my face. “I wish you knew how much.”

Still breathing heavily, I gave him a weak smile.

“You didn’t even remember me until a few days ago,” I reminded him.

“And now I remember everything,” he said, not smiling. “It wasn’t easy letting you go, Abby. It was the hardest thing I’d ever had to do, but I thought I was doing what was best for us both.”

“Please,” I begged him, not wanting to ruin the moment with his excuses. “Let’s not.”

He nodded, pulling me into him.

“We’re together now, for however long we have. That’s good enough for me.”

Laying my head on his chest, I let the warm glow of his golden arch warm me for a moment.

“You should stay here with me,” Elijah said, breaking the fleeting sense of comfort I’d been clinging to and shooting me back to the reality I had to face.

I raised my head and sighed, sliding to the edge of the bed.

“I can’t.”

“Why not?”

“Because people will notice.”

In my peripheral vision, I saw Elijah’s eyes narrow.

“What people? How?” he asked suspiciously.

I turned my head away so he wouldn’t see my expression. He didn’t know that Orson wanted me. Telling him would only make him react rashly, and that was the last thing anyone needed.

“I just can’t,” I said firmly, reaching for my clothes quickly. “But I’ll be back tomorrow, okay?”

He watched me dress, but I could feel the wariness in his stare.

“Is there something you’re not telling me, Abby?”

I didn’t answer as I found my pants. Pinning my waves back into a messy bun, I pecked him on the mouth. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Six more days, baby.”

He smirked. “Six days,” he agreed. “Hurry back.”

I nodded and hurried out of the room, carefully avoiding the curious glances of the shifters in the living room. I didn’t know them and, therefore, was rightfully suspicious of them.

I should have looked closer to home for those prying eyes that were watching my every move. I might have seen them coming before I was blindsided as soon as I exited the Sandstone.
