“What? I mean, it won't be the same without big, bummed beauty Ari,” Pip added, thankfully missing my question about it being a band.

“Wait, aunty Ari went with you last time?” At this my mum sighed, took my hand and said,

“It's a long, long, long… like the longest story in history… and clearly, it’s still going on and apparently never wants to end. It is literally, the never-ending story,” my mum said dramatically, making me say,

“Okay, Mum, I get the idea.”

“So, we're all in agreement we say nothing to the husbands?” I iterated, thinking it was best we were concrete on this fact.

“Oh shit, they're gonna be so mad when we get back.”

“Pip, that shouldn't make you look happy,” Sophia pointed out.

“Hey, I don't know about your husbands, but my husband when I'm naughty well, let's just say stuff can get pretty interesting, and when I say interesting, I mean kinky shit… like a whole sex shop of kinky, like suspended ropes and tools, and not even the type that you'd think would work but they totally do… like a whisk, you would be surprised at what else you can do with a whisk,” Pip said, making us all groan.

“Okay please stop with the kinky talking now, we get it, you’re kinkier than shit and like the kinkiest Imp in all the land,” Sophia said, making her pluck her fingers at her T-shirt with both hands and say in a cocky proud voice,

“Yes, yes I am.”

“So just to be clear, and getting back to this poem. We need to go back before the Rosetta stone was even moved, before it got broken… right?” I nodded at Sophia’s question.

“Yeah, and when was that exactly?” my mum asked, making Pip quickly shake her fingers at me and said,

“And if you could say it like Doc Brown does in the movie, that would be great.” I released a sigh and did as she asked…

“Back to the year, 1202.”

PAINFUL GOODBYE

“Are we interrupting something?” the sound of my father's voice the second the door opened made all four of us turn and instantly look guilty.

Because that was the problem with our family, there was only one of us that held the title as being cool, calm, and collected when it came to lying. Meaning that three of us instantly made the mistake of looking toward Sophia. It was as if we all knew who to rely on in this tense moment. I swear she was most likely in half a mind to roll her eyes before that cool facade swept over her features like a veil. Then she causally rose from her seat, walked gracefully up to my father, and then after patting his chest, simply told him,

“We might have been having girl talk, and it might have included our men… Speaking of which, after all the deliciously naughty things we have just spoken about, I'm in mind to go and find mine. Ladies, until our next talk.” Then she granted us a wink and walked out the room. My mother and I both released a sigh of relief whereas Pip giggled and skipped to Adam. Of course, the second I saw his T-shirt it dawned on me, as his own matched Pip but his words read…

‘I come in Peace.’

“Oh, right, I get it now,” I said, making her wink back at me before wagging her brows at her husband and saying,

“The T-shirts have spoken.” Then she turned to face us, threw her hands up in the air and gave us some devil horns with her fingers in a rock symbol before saying,

“Later, me biatches!” After this my mother and I both looked at each other, laughed and then looked to our two brooding husbands as they strode toward us with purpose.

“Amelia,”Lucius breathed my name into my cheek, before hooking an arm around my back and guiding me up and out of the chair into his arms, now growling down at me,

“What have I told you about not finding you where I left you, Pet?”

“Most likely what I have told you about not being a fan of you leaving me in bed alone,” I countered, making him run the backs of his fingers down my cheek and said a soft,

“Touché, Sweetheart.”

“I woke up and you weren't there. So what else was a girl to do?”

“…but come to a library,” he finished off for me, making me also point out,

“Besides, I did leave you a note this time, so you have to give me brownie points for that and well, it was rather the library or starting my next Lego set. But then I feared falling asleep halfway through and then you waking me up when you howl in agony after stepping on the pieces making your way back to the bed. So really, I was just being incredibly thoughtful…” I paused at this point, now getting up on my tip toes so I could reach his face and walk my fingers up his chest before then whispering over his lips,
