“I’m fine with that, but I’d like to know more about you.”
“No. You just want information on Gunther.”
Ignoring me, he says, “Before the world ended, were you a virgin?”
“No,” I spit out.
After a long pause, he continues with, “Gunther didn’t treat you right, did he?”
I snort. “What gave you that impression?”
“And yet, you protect him.”
I don’t respond.
“How you act around my men, teasing them like you do. You realize how much trouble that could get you in, don’t you?”
“Now I do.”
“Do you regret it?”
“I don’t know,” I say honestly.
The way he looks at me livens my blood, and a strong pulse quickens between my thighs. He’s so different from what I’ve had before. Massive and rough. Thick, with muscles that can hardly be contained by his shirt.
I want to feel what it’s like to be under him. To be owned by such a man.
Because I’m sick in the head or something.
“I don’t know if I should pin you to the bed and fuck you into tomorrow or turn around and leave.”
And because I am not the seductress I’m trying so hard to be, my jaw drops.
“There it is again. That shockingly innocent girl.”
“Either get on with raping me or leave. I’m not in the mood for games.”
“Why do you get my men so riled?”
“Because it’s all I can do. It’s the only thing I have to torment them.”
“If it makes you feel any better, you did a damn good job. Dane’s as angry as I’ve ever seen him, and the others aren’t too happy, either.”
“And you?”
“You pressed me at the wrong time, little girl.”
My nipples harden at the pet name he’s given me, because why wouldn’t they? Every other part of my body has rebelled.
“Care to press me again?”
I want to more than anything, but it seems like an impossible feat. Cole must be…forty? Experienced in ways I’ll never be. He knows what he wants, and I have no clue what I even like. Except him.
He looks tense, like this is somehow hard for him, which is ridiculous, considering he’s the one with all the power.
“I’ll make it good for you. Like I did earlier.”
“You call that good?”
