I will never get enough of this man.
I fall against his chest and feel his heart hammering away beneath me. He strokes my hair, planting soft kisses on my forehead.
“I love you, Cole,” I blurt, feeling it so much I nearly burst.
“I love you too, baby girl. With everything I have in me. You and Seth are mine.”
I nod against him. “Yours.”
He cradles me as he draws to a stand and brings me into the bedroom we share.
“There is one more thing I should tell you,” I say, adding a hint of mischief to my voice.
“And what’s that?”
“I’m late…”
“Late?” He sets me down, his expression curious. “Like…that kind of late?”
I nod. “Only three days, but…yeah, late.”
A wild grin spreads across his face. “I can’t wait to tell Seth.”
I chuckle. “Are you kidding? He’s going to be pissed when he has to fight for your attention.”
“He’ll never have to. I’ll always be around. And heck, if we close up the Keep, I’ll have more time than I’ll know what to do with.”
My face darkens. “Is that what it’s coming to?”
He bends to kiss my cheek. “Let’s not think about that. Let’s just enjoy this moment. The news. The miracle of life.”
“Potential life,” I correct.
He curls around me, resting his head on my shoulder. “Baby or not, I’m happy. You and Seth are my world.”
I look over at him and smile. “And that’s all I want to be.”
