She chuckled, patting my leg. “How about my place instead?”

She gave me directions and I parked outside a small duplex. We got out and hurried inside out of the cold. The scent of a cat hit me as soon as she closed the door. I scanned the room, but I didn’t see any.

“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“Do you have a cat?”

She nodded. “Yes, his name is Mouse. Are you allergic?”

“No. Just caught the scent when we came in.” Her apartment was…cozy. There was a wood burning stove in the living room and a dark blue couch with a multi-colored quilt draped over the back. Her television wasn’t a giant flat screen on the wall. It sat on an end table in the corner of the room. Next to it was a small Christmas tree with multicolored lights, and there was a door next to the compact kitchen, probably either the bedroom or bathroom.

She squeezed my hand. “Grand tour?”

“Sure.” The bond between us was growing rapidly, but it still wasn’t enough. I wanted to know every part of her.

She gestured to her living area and kitchen and smiled. “Self-explanatory.” She led me to the door and pushed it open. Her bedroom was a witch’s sanctuary. All the walls and ceiling were covered in tapestries of all different shades of blue. A white cat looked up at me from the center of the dark blue comforter on her queen-sized bed. He tilted his head like he was asking who the hell I was. Most people who learned about werewolves were shocked that animals weren’t afraid of us, but I figured they must smell the animal inside us because they always seemed confused and finally accepting. If anything, animals were more comfortable around us than around other human strangers.

Winter walked over to her cat and scratched behind his ear as she looked over at me. “He’s usually under the bed anytime I bring someone home.”

I tried not to dwell on the thought of her bringing some other guy back to her place, but the possessive wolf in my soul bristled with jealousy anyway. “Nice to meet you, Mouse.”

The cat meowed and stretched as Winter came back to my side. “The bathroom is right there.” She looked up at me. “That’s the tour.”

I brought my hands to her hips. “Thank you.” I bent to kiss her lips, whispering, “Do I get to unwrap you now?”

She smiled, her teeth grazing my lower lip. “How did you know my Christmas wish?”

I wanted to make all her wishes come true.

We were naked in record time, but the heat from her wood burning stove didn’t reach the bedroom. I scooped her into my arms and carried her over to the bed. Cradling her with one arm, I pulled the comforter back and slid inside with her.

Her silk sheets were freezing. “Damnit’s cold!”

She laughed as we shivered together, and in spite of the chill, holding her tight kept any sign of shrinkage from the cold away. I’d never ached for anyone the way I did for her.

After a long, slow kiss, she rolled me over onto my back and straddled my waist. “Maybe I can warm you up.”

She lifted her hips and sank onto my erection. Seeing every inch of my shaft entering her was so damned hot. She ground her hips into me, her nipples hard and tight in the cool air of the bedroom. I reached up to cup them and she let out a moan that almost did me in. She opened her eyes and her gaze locked on mine. Suddenly snowflakes floated down, landing in her long brown hair and on my chest.

It was too beautiful to ask what the hell was happening. I didn’t want to break the spell. Her green eyes were like a forest to lose myself in. My fingers slid down her chest to her abdomen and down to her core. I found her clit and rubbed it slowly, aching to make this moment last. Her back arched as the pleasure swelled. She was magic.

She was mine.

The snowflakes drifted down as she rocked her hips. I pumped up into her, trapped in a delicious struggle to make it last and simultaneously explode like a super nova.

“Come for me, Winter,” I growled.

She dropped her head back, and my fingers worked faster as my orgasm neared. I tried to hold off as long as I could, but the second her orgasm hit and her inner muscles clenched around me, it was over. I erupted deep inside her groaning through the ecstasy.

The snowflakes stopped falling as Winter collapsed onto my chest. I wrapped her in my arms, fighting to catch my breath. “It snowed.”

She chuckled and lifted her head. “You inspire me.”

I tucked her hair behind her ear, trying to memorize every curve of her beautiful face. “Promise me something?”

“Sure.” A smile teased the corners of her mouth.

“Be here when I wake up this time.”
