“We’ll cross that bridge if we come to it. I’m in this, Addy. Aren’t you?”
My lips curved up, relief hitting me in the chest. “I’m in, Leo. So much so it scares me.”
He leaned down, kissing my lips. “Nothing scary about it. We should be together every day like this. You could move in now if you want?”
Holy unexpectedness. “I would need to give my cousin notice so she could find another roommate. But a bigger problem is once she’s aware we’re living together, she tells Craig, and the whole office knows. We probably need to choreograph how we tell people.” The last thing I wanted was for my parents to find out about Leo and our arrangement from Malorie. Was there an announcement which said “We’ve decided to move in together in order to electively co-parent. Join us in our celebration but don’t ask too many questions”?
He frowned. “Fine, but once you’re pregnant, I’d prefer you here.”
“Is this a control thing?” No doubt Leo was alpha, but I wouldn’t do well being kept on a short leash.
“No, but if you’re sick, I want to be there to hold your hair back. If you’re craving something, I want to be there to go to the store for you, and if your feet hurt, I want to be the one rubbing them for you.”
