I shook my head. “Just leave me alone, Jessie,” I mumbled, closing my eyes.

I felt the bed dip as Jessie laid down in front of me. I snapped my eyes open, watching as he gently laid Hope between us. She turned her head, those beautiful blue eyes, so much like Lincoln’s, locking on mine. My bottom lip trembled as I smiled at her, tears filling my eyes. “Hi, baby,” I whispered as I softly ran my hand over her head.

She cooed lightly, her hand laying against my arm. A tear slipped down my cheek as I curled my body around hers. Jessie silently placed a hand on my hip, an understanding gleam in his eyes as he watched me. “Sleep, baby. She’s due for a nap. I’ll be right here to make sure you don’t roll on her,” he assured me.

I shut my eyes, falling asleep to Jessie’s thumb brushing back and forth over my hip at a steady pace. Maybe when I woke up again, I’d be okay.

Lincoln

The house was eerily quiet when I got home. I quickly rushed up the stairs, my feet barely making any noise on the carpeted stairs. Worry was twisting my gut that something had happened. Since Hope had been born, this house was never truly quiet, especially not like this.

When I stepped into the bedroom, a small smile tilted my lips. West was asleep, her hand placed over Hope’s belly, who was also asleep, her little lips slightly parted. Jessie looked up at my entrance, his tired eyes meeting mine.

“It was a bad day,” he whispered. “This was the only thing that brought some kind of light into her eyes.”

I frowned. I fucking hated it when West had bad days. It made her miserable, and if she wasn’t happy, then I wasn’t happy either.

I nodded and pointed to the bathroom, silently telling him that I was going to get a shower. He nodded in understanding, his eyes sliding closed again, though I knew he wouldn’t allow himself to go to sleep—not with Hope lying between both him and West.

I was letting the water run over my body, enjoying the heat relaxing my muscles, when I heard the shower door slide open. I looked up, my eyes meeting the gorgeous, green eyes of West.

“Please,” she begged me, her voice trembling. Tears were welling in her eyes, breaking my fucking heart.

As if I would ever fucking deny her.

I quickly drew her into my arms, pressing my lips to hers. I knew why she needed this. She needed to feel wanted, needed someone to take her savagely—without restraint.

Jessie was always the gentle one with her when it came to sex. He could be rough; I knew that. But he preferred to be tender with her. He wanted to worship every single inch of her every time.

Me? Sure, I fucking wanted to, but the moment I slid into her, I became a fucking beast.

And I knew she needed that after the day she’d apparently had today.

“I’m not going to be gentle,” I warned her, pulling back from her enough so my eyes met those beautiful green ones.

“Don’t,” she whispered.

She sure as fuck didn’t have to tell me twice. I gripped her juicy ass in my hands and lifted her up, sliding inside of her slick heat with ease. She cried out my name as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.

After pressing her back against the cool, shower tile, I began to fuck her hard—savagely. Just like she fucking needed.

Jessie

Lincoln carried West downstairs into the living room. I already had pizza on the coffee table, and Hope was on her belly doing tummy time, soft coos and gurgles the only sounds she was making.

I smiled at West as Lincoln sat down with her on his lap. I gently squeezed her thigh. “Better?” I asked her.

She shrugged. “A little.” She looked at Hope, and once she saw our daughter wiggling on the mat, her shoulders relaxed. “I’m a bit hungry,” she told me.

I winked at her. “I bet you are,” I teased.

A beautiful blush stained her cheeks. “You’re not mad?”

I scoffed. “Mad that you’re being taken care of, baby girl?” I shook my head. “No,” I told her firmly. One day, she’d realize Lincoln and I loved being with her both together and separately. “I needed to take care of Hope, and Lincoln was there to take care of you.” I reached up and cupped her cheek, brushing my thumb over her cheekbone. “I’ll never be angry about that, baby girl,” I told her honestly. “You need both of us—especially now more than ever,” I reminded her.

And I meant every word. Hope was in the picture now. We had a baby to take care of. Lincoln and I both understood that we couldn’t be with West all the time, which meant some days, one of us would have to take care of West while the other person took care of Hope.
