“Always,” Lincoln told him without hesitation.

I watched as Lincoln lowered himself to the floor beside me with a grunt, his movements still a little sluggish, but I could tell he was getting better with each passing minute. “You’re pregnant, aren’t you?” he quietly asked me, running his eyes over my face.

Tears quickly spilled onto my cheeks at his words. I nodded my head, drawing in a shuddering breath. “I’m sorry,” I apologized, my voice cracking.

Lincoln drew me into his arms. “Nothing to be sorry for, baby.” He pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “Jessie nor I used protection with you, and we’re all adult enough to know that pregnancy is easily preventable.”

“I’m on birth control.”

Lincoln shrugged. “Birth control isn’t a hundred percent effective,” he reminded me. I sighed. I knew that, too.

“I’m sorry if my breath stinks.”

Lincoln laughed. “Babe, I haven’t had a shower in over a month. I’m sure I smell like shit, too.”

I laughed. “No, not really,” I told him. “I actually did give you sponge baths while you were out.”

A soft smile pulled at Lincoln’s lips before he pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “Thanks, babe.”

Jessie stepped back into the bathroom holding a toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste in his hand. “Best I could do,” he told me with a shrug.

“That’s better, actually.” He flashed me a grin before he leaned down and helped me up from the floor. I moved to the sink to brush my teeth. “Oh, and your doctor called me,” Jessie informed me as Lincoln stood up from the floor as well. “She said it’s okay to continue taking the meds you’re taking,” he assured me.

“Meds?” Lincoln asked, standing from the floor with Jessie’s help.

“I got her in to see a therapist about her bipolar depression,” Jessie informed Lincoln, quickly catching him up to speed. “She’s been on medication now for about three weeks, though they just had to do a change because one of them was negatively affecting her.” Jessie caught my eyes in the mirror and a smile pulled at his lips. “She’s been doing a lot better since she’s been on them.”

Lincoln pressed a kiss to my temple before he gently squeezed my hips. “Well, doc said I’m good to be discharged in the morning,” Lincoln informed us. “I can only do light work for the next two weeks, but after that, I should be good to go.”

I rinsed my mouth out before I rinsed the toothbrush and turned the water off. Jessie looked to Lincoln. “Do you know who the fuck was in the garage that night?” Jessie asked him.

Lincoln nodded. “Jay’s little brother—Luke,” Lincoln informed him. I bristled.

“Both of them are MIA,” Jessie informed him. Lincoln drew me back against his body, his arms sliding protectively around my waist, his hands splaying over my belly. Shivers ran down my spine at his possessive, protective touch. “Haven’t seen them. Shit’s been quiet.”

“They’re probably planning something,” Lincoln gruffly commented.

“She’s our number one priority,” Jessie told him as his eyes moved to me. “Not a goddamn thing happens to her.”

Lincoln pressed his lips to my cheek and rubbed his thumbs over my stomach. “Not her, and not this baby.”

“Agreed.” Jessie leaned forward and cupped my face in his hands, pressing his lips to mine in a soft, slow kiss. I moaned and gripped his hoodie in my hands, dragging him closer.

“Not right now, baby girl.” Jessie brushed his lips with mine again. “I need to go get Lincoln some food while he showers.”

I pouted at him. Jessie released a soft laugh. “So fucking insatiable.” He looked at Lincoln over my shoulder. “Your turn. Couldn’t ever figure out why her sex drive went so damn high, but now it makes sense.”

I flushed. I’d been craving sex like an addict lately. I had no idea how Jessie was keeping up with me.

Lincoln nuzzled my neck, and I moaned softly. “I’ve got her,” he growled, making my nipples harden. Fuck. I’d missed him.

Jessie brushed his lips with mine again. “Have fun, baby girl.”

With that, he strode out of the bathroom, leaving me with Lincoln.

Lincoln slid his hands under my shirt before gently turning me to face him. “Is it possible to miss someone while you’re in a coma?” he asked me.

“I don’t know, but I really fucking missed you,” I told him honestly. I’d spent every moment I could in this hospital, waiting on him to wake up. I had only left if Jessie needed help in the garage or if I needed to grab clothes. I showered at the hospital. Slept at the hospital. And Jessie brought me food to the hospital.

He closed the bathroom door and locked it, keeping anyone from disturbing us. I moaned as he slid his calloused hands up my sides, his hands pushing my shirt up as he did so. I quickly raised my arms above my head, allowing Lincoln to pull my shirt off of me. He groaned softly before he kneeled and pressed soft kisses to the swells of my breasts.
