“I want a taste,” Kieran said, and scooted down her body. “May I?” He paused at the waistband of her pants.

Holly nodded her head as she went bright red. In her past hookups, she had to be so careful they wouldn’t get obsessed from her emotions that she did most of the giving during sex. It was easier to stay in control that way. This was unknown territory for her.

Kieran must have read her face, as his eyes softened and he pressed a kiss on her stomach, right above the waistband of her pants. “I’ll take good care of you,” he murmured, drawing her pants down over her legs.

He dropped her pants at the foot of the bedrolls, and Kallan moved her leg back over his hip so she was open for Kieran. Holly’s face felt like it was on fire, and she went to cover herself, but Kallan caught her hands. “Don’t. Don’t hide yourself from us.”

“Never hide,” Kieran reiterated. “You’re gorgeous. Every part of you.”

Holly relaxed at his words, but the first drag of his tongue over her core had her stiffening in Kallan’s arms. “Oh!”

Kieran dragged his tongue over her entrance again and again. Holly squirmed. The pressure was great, but it wasn’t enough. As if reading her thoughts, Kieran stiffened his tongue and drove it into her. Holly moaned as another orgasm rose up in her. Her entrance had always been particularly sensitive, and on the heels of her previous orgasm, she shook between them. He dragged his tongue up to her clit and circled it as first one finger entered her, then two.

A cry ripped from her throat as Kieran curled his fingers, hitting that special spot inside her as his tongue circled her clit again. Kallan tilted her head back, capturing her lips as Kieran drove her closer and closer to the edge. He covered her clit with his mouth and sucked hard as he drove his fingers stiffly into her, and she shattered again, her vision blacking out for a few moments as her heart raced and her breaths came out in short pants.

When she came back to her body, Kieran had drawn her pants back over her hips, and both men were tracing her skin with their hands.

“Sleep,” Kallan whispered in her ear. “We’ve got you.”

Holly drifted off to sleep surrounded by their warm embrace. Her heart was warm for a different reason, though, as it felt like everything might finally be falling into place with her mates.

CHAPTER14

“I’ve been thinking,” Kallan said the next morning as they were packing up.

“Well, that’s dangerous,” Kieran quipped, then easily caught the small pouch Kallan threw at him.

Holly rolled her eyes at their antics. “What is it?” she asked Kallan. This morning, she had woken up between Kieran and Synora, but Kallan had given her an easy smile when she exited the cave.

“Do you think you could pinpoint that feeling of ‘offness’ you felt yesterday?”

Holly frowned as she thought. The feeling had never quite subsided, but it had dulled to background noise in her mind. “Maybe?”

“Only if you can do it without making yourself sick,” Kallan ordered, his eyes dark. Before yesterday, Holly would have thought he didn’t believe in her, but in the morning light, she could see the worry in his eyes.

“It’s worth a try,” Synora encouraged, coming up beside her to lay a hand on her shoulder.

“Alright.” Holly shrugged. She wasn’t sure it was going to work. Pinpointing the direction of a feeling is something Vali had talked about being possible, but she had never tried it. But Vali did say she should practice, and there’s no time like the present.

She took a few steps away and faced the tree line. Focusing inwards, she let a trickle of her Empath magic out of her center, glad she was facing away from her mates when it battered at her walls, causing her to wince before she recovered. She didn’t try holding on to the magic. Instead, she fed it out into the area, focusing on the off feeling she’d had since they entered the forest yesterday.

She gritted her teeth as she sent more magic out, trying to find the source of the feeling, but it didn’t matter how much magic she sent out, she still couldn’t pinpoint the source. It was like a thick fog surrounded them, with no one part feeling more intense than any other.

When her stomach rolled the first time, Holly reluctantly pulled her magic back. “I can’t pinpoint it,” she said, turning back to her mates, her eyes on the ground.

Synora’s boots came into her view, and gentle fingers lifted her chin. “Can we try something? Together?”

Holly nodded, although she wasn’t sure what Synora wanted to try. Empath magic leaned more on the Fae side, but maybe Synora had some experience.

Synora turned Holly gently by her shoulders until she faced the woods again. She wrapped her arms around Holly, until her hands grabbed Holly’s wrists. Their cheeks rubbed together as Synora bent slightly to match Holly’s height. “It seems to me your Empath magic is acting like a blunt force object—like a mallet—when instead, you need to wield it like a pencil or paintbrush.”

That sounded nice in theory, but she didn’t have that type of control. When she voiced that to Synora, tilting her head up to see her face, Synora smiled at Holly, temporarily distracting her. “Then we use something to temper it.”

Holly frowned, her eyes drawing together, and Synora pressed a quick kiss to the crease. “Sorry, I got distracted.” She grinned down at Holly, who blushed. “What I mean is you can use your earth magic to temper your Empath magic, to ground it.”

“Is that even possible?” A flicker of excitement flashed through Holly.

“I don’t see why not,” Synora said. “Let’s give it a try. Take this hand”—she held up Holly’s left palm—“and fill it with Empath magic. Then let your earth magic fill the other one. Keep both magics there until you can’t hold them anymore.”
