“You asking or telling me, princess?”

“Telling,” she admits quietly.

“Aiden one of them?”

I know what the answer is without her having to say anything because her eyes flare with panic.

“It wasn't anything special. I was thinking about you and it made me so goddamn sad that I got drunk and made a pass at him.” She's rambling, but I don't stop her. “I don't even know why I'm explaining myself to you because it's not like you're a virgin or anything, but shit, it feels like I've betrayed you. Why does it feel like I've betrayed you?”

Despite my control hanging on by the weakest of threads, I hook an arm around her waist and drag her body toward me.

“You haven't betrayed me, princess. I'm just jealous.”

“Yeah?” Her lips tilt in a pleased smile, though it's clear she tries to hide it. “Why is that?”

“Because he got to touch you when I never have.”

Her breath hitches, her lips falling open. I stare at them, desperate to nibble them between my teeth and kiss them until they're swollen. It's a fucking miracle that I'm able to hold myself back.

But my self-control all goes to shit when she whispers, “Touch me, then.”

I have her pinned beneath me in an instant, my arms caging her on either side of her head.

“I'm trying to be a good man right now,” I say breathlessly into her ear, “but you're making it really fucking hard.”

“What if I don't want you to be a good man?” Her hips rise from the bed to grind into me. “What if I want you to make me forget every guy that got to have me before you?”

“Shit, princess.” My breath hisses through my teeth as I mindlessly buck my hips against her. “I feel like I'm taking advantage of you.”

“But you're not.”

I drop my forehead to rest on hers, shuddering at the sensation of my erection rubbing between her legs with every one of my slow thrusts.

“Cole, look at me.”

Feeling her small hand on my cheek, I pull my head back to look into her eyes. Her lips are parted, her pupils blown. Her chest heaves with every shaky inhale, causing her breasts to brush against my chest. Red hair fans like a halo of fire around her head and her tongue darts out repeatedly to wet her dry lips.

“Do I look like I don't want this?” she asks pointedly.

“You look like a goddess.”

Her cheeks flame at the compliment and she scowls. “Not what I asked.”

“You're adorable, you know that?” I rub my nose against hers and thrust harder between her legs. She gasps and the scowl falls away. “Adorable and sexy and too damn hot for your own good. You look like a wet dream right now, Thea. Every fantasy I've ever had has been of you looking just as you are now, begging me with those big green eyes to fuck you until you lose your voice from screaming my name.”

“Do it.”

“You don't know what you're asking for, princess.”

“Don't underestimate me, Cole.”

Sitting up and leaning back on my heels, I grab her t-shirt in two fistfuls. “Fine,” I say with a wicked smile, “but when you're moaning that you can't take it anymore, remember I warned you first.”

I'm almost frightenedwhen Cole takes the material of my shirt in two fistfuls and tears it down the center. The rip is deafening, but not loud enough to smother the sound of our ragged breaths or the thunderous beating of our hearts.

“Fuck, look at you,” he murmurs, his eyes darkening to the deepest pools of black.

With only the tiniest scrap of lace covering my pussy, I'm laid bare to him. He stares at me, openly and without shame. His gaze rakes over my body until I'm left trembling with the need to feel his touch on my skin.
