My lips began to tug up, knowing exactly where he was going with this.

“And I just… I feel bad that I’m not doing that about you…about us.”

“What are you saying?” I asked. I knew. I knew what he wanted. I just wanted to hear him say it out loud.

Ben smiled, finally realizing that I was playing along the whole time. “I would love nothing more than to let the whole world know how much I love you, Olivia,” he finally declared, sending infinite butterflies to flutter in my stomach.

The widest possible smile spread on my lips.

“You know what that would entail, right?” I asked as I held his hand tightly. "No more hiding."

"Well," he continued as he rifled in his side pocket, "I don't know how you're going to hide this baby."

He pulled out a blue velvet square box and opened it. Inside was the most beautiful solitaire diamond set in a platinum band of baguette-cut diamonds. The solitaire was big, but not too big. Tastefully and wonderfully just the perfect size. I looked into his eyes, with my own eyes tearing up.

"Ben…what? Now?"

"Olivia, will you marry me?"

I shook my head in disbelief, shaking my tears out of my eyes. I put on the ring and lifted my face towards his. My newly decorated hand cupped his cheek as I kissed him, deeply and sincerely.

"Yes, Ben. Yes. I can't wait to marry you."

I looked down again at the ring, watching it sparkle from the streetlights up above. "It's not going to be easy, you know, and there's so much to think about, and I don't want people to treat either of us differently…" I rambled, just caught up in all the unbelievable emotion I was feeling.

“Then, like what I said in my father’s office…” Ben took my hand and kissed it gently, his forest green eyes staring directly into my soul. “We’ll weather that together, too.”

Unable to stop myself, I pulled him in for another deep and passionate kiss. The world always began to unravel and fix itself each time our lips met. Fireworks went off, waves hit the shore, lightning cracks in the sky, raindrops hit the ground. Every time we kissed, I felt every magical thing surging through my body all at once. Once we pulled away, we shared one last smile together, knowing that after this day, we wouldn’t have to hide anymore.

“I’m sad that I have to go back,” I said, wishing I could run away with him.

“I’ll be waiting for you to finish, and then we’ll go home."

I laid my head on his shoulder and realized I wasn’t afraid that our destination was unknown.

We’d weather it together.

Nanny for the Grumpy CEO

Never fall for a rich, grumpy billionaire.

No, literally, we collided in the park, and I fell right into his sculpted biceps.

I’ve never been so turned on by someone so arrogant.

Yet, there I am falling for the city’s most eligible single dad.

To make this story even more cliché, he asked me to be his new nanny.

I know… cute submissive nanny falls for hot billionaire with abs.

I thought it was stupid too, but I have a mother with health issues and money doesn’t fall from trees.

That’s ok, I can totally keep it professional.

Even when he walks through the hall shirtless.
