When she looks up, I realize I’ve been watching her, while lost in thought as she looks over her new clothes. She really is like a kid at Christmas with new things. “What are you wearing?” I ask as I open my closet.

“I don’t know, everything is so beautiful.” She beams holding up the pieces. “I still can’t believe you bought these. They’re so expensive Mr. Starks.”

“Wear that,” I tell her. I put on my navy button up and white boating shorts. She grins as she drops her towel. She’s already wearing the thong I bought her with the matching black lace strapless bra. “Damn,” I breathe looking at her.

She giggles as she holds up the dress I told her to wear. We’ll coordinate perfectly. She slips on the strapless high-low navy and white striped dress. I walk over and zip her up. “Don’t forget this.” I grin draping her diamond around her neck as I fasten it. “You looked bare without it today while we were out and about.”

She turns around and kisses me softly against my lips. “Thank you again.”

“You’re quite welcome, my Amelia from Amelia.” I’m so enamored by her. “Shall we go to dinner?” I hold out my hand.

“We shall.” She grins lacing our fingers.

AMELIA

“Thanks Toni.” Quinton nods as Toni serves our drinks.

“Toni really does make the best ones,” I tell him.

“I agree.” Quinton grins, sipping his gin on the rocks with lime.

“What’s on the menu tonight? I’m starving.”

“I hope you like it. Pan roasted halibut and scallops over curried cauliflower couscous, glazed vegetables, and wilted greens. Served with a spicy dipping sauce and mango salsa. Chef makes a very delectable halibut and scallops.” He relaxes back, resting his hand on my knee. I can feel him making small circles with his thumb.

“Wow! That sounds delicious. I’ve never tried scallops.”

“You should love them. You love shrimp.” He’s probably right. I sip my cosmo, looking over the water.

“Our last night on the yacht. It’s rather disappointing. I’ve loved every minute being here with you.” I smile gently at him. Reality is so close that it makes me nervous.

“We can go out on the Fortuna anytime you would like Amelia.” I watch him smile as the others join us.

Tierra turns on some dinner music. “Dance with me.” I look up as Quinton stands, holding his hand out. “It’s the song you sang at the karaoke bar, telling me how you felt.”

Oh I remember, I take his hand as he walks me to the dancing deck. He wraps me in the perfect slow dance stance, and we start to glide effortlessly to the music. I lay my head on his chest.

“These past few days have been amazing. I never thought I would find someone who completes me so perfectly.” I grin hearing his words.

“I know exactly what you mean.” He tilts my face up towards him and covers my mouth in his sweet single-lip kisses. We keep dancing, lip locked to another sweet slow song.

He grins, twirling me out and then bringing me back in. He glides effortlessly across the deck, leading. I follow, but his footwork is much more controlled, skilled.

“Mr. Starks, you’re not just a club dancer.”

He laughs. “No. I enjoy many forms of dance, sweet Amelia.”

“You’re very cultural aren’t you?” I grin asking him. He must have always had money.

He laughs. “Cultural.” He thinks I’m being funny. “My mother made sure we were both musically inclined in instrument and dance. My sister and I, that is.”

“So you’ve always had money.” I’m somewhat curious.

He laughs. “Nothing like I do now, I assure you.” He grins, looking up, and notices dinner is about to be served. “Come sweetheart, dinner is being served.” I let him lead me back to the table. It does look delicious.

“You two look very graceful moving together.” Marcus grins.

“Quinton is a great lead,” I confess, looking at him. He grins. His ego likes to be praised.
