“Because I need to get dressed,” I said. “And I don’t need my brother waiting out here while I’m naked with you in your bedroom.”
Andy growled.
Seb shook his head and stomped away like a child.
He slammed the bathroom door shut.
I turned and pointed down to Andy. “And you. Go out on the balcony and give me a second to find my clothes and get dressed.”
“Find your clothes?” Andy asked. “What happened to your clothes? Did he…”
“Relax,” I said. “Unless you want to know. Do you, Andy? You want to hear about how he tore my clothes from my body?”
Andy covered his ears. “Shut up! I can’t hear this!”
I kicked at Andy’s right arm. “Good. Now go out on the damn balcony.”
Andy slowly climbed to his feet.
I went into the bedroom and scrambled to find clothes.
Panties. Check.
Bra? No chance in hell.
Hoodie? That’ll do.
I hurried out of the bedroom half expecting Seb and Andy to be fighting again.
They weren’t.
Andy actually went out on the balcony.
He got a beer first though.
Which I understood.
I leaned against the railing.
He stared out to the ocean.
“Want me to make small talk?” I asked.
“Three days off,” he said. “Three days off and I thought to myself…Andy, why not go visit your sister? And your best friend?Bad enough I threw both of you together like this. Asking Seb for a favor. Trying to help you out. And this is what I get?”
Andy looked at me.
“What do you want me to say? I’ve had a thing for Seb for as long as I can remember. You knew it too. What did you think would happen here?”
“Is that why you didn’t leave when my new place was ready?”
I swallowed hard.
“Shit. You two have been screwing for a while. This wasn’t a one-time thing.”
“Andy, I have to tell you something else.”
He jumped up. “Oh, shit. Are you pregnant? I’ll kill him.”
