“You’re incredible, Alexander Deimos.”

“Not as incredible as you, Vixen. I was right that first night, you know.”

“Oh?”

“You were a thief.”

I rear back in surprise.

“Only you weren’t stealing my watch. Without me knowing, you were in the process of stealing my heart.”

“Oh, smooth. So freaking smooth.”

“You fucking know it. Now, let me show you what other moves I’ve got.”

“I’m yours, Alexander. Do your absolute worst.”

“What’s this?” I ask as Stella and Brianna pass out envelopes around our group.

Despite it being summer, we’re all hanging out at Theo’s place because it hasn’t stopped raining for three freaking days.

We’ve spent way too many days indoors recently. So much for the epic summer plans.

“A surprise,” Stella says with a wide-arse grin on her face.

I glance around at the others. Most of them look as perplexed as I feel. Even Jodie has a twinkle of excitement in her eyes, something that’s been absent since she got that phone call almost four weeks ago about her childhood best friend.

That news certainly put the dampeners on the beginning of our summer. But as I’m quickly learning with this incredible group of friends, they all rallied around her—Jessie too—And supported them both through it.

The funeral was both agonising and beautiful at the same time.

Sara’s parents continued on their path to try and remove Jessie and his way of life from their daughter’s and demanded they didn’t attend.

As you can imagine, that didn’t go down very well with the Wolves or us. And as a group, we descended on the small chapel they’d chosen for what they thought was going to be an intimate ceremony.

I didn’t know Sara, but Jessie and Jodie did. Better than anyone. Even better than her parents. And they were adamant that she’d have wanted them to gatecrash. So that’s exactly what we did.

With their closest friends by their sides, both Jodie and Jessie said goodbye to one of the most important people in their lives.

Jodie has hardly heard anything from Jessie since. She’s worried, rightly so. But Archer and the guys keep her updated. All we can do is hope that time helps heal the wounds the loss of his girlfriend left behind.

“Hurry,” Stella says, barely keeping her excitement contained.

Simultaneously, we all rip into the envelopes and pull out a single slip of paper.

“Oh fuck, yeah,” Nico barks excitedly before everyone else joins in on the excitement.

“What? I don’t under—”

Alex leans over, his breath rushing down my neck, instantly causing goosebumps to erupt.

“We’re going to Florida, baby,” he whispers while the others’ chatter fills the room.

“Florida? As in America?”
