The guys are in the nearest pool, and they all cheer as we approach, drop our blankets, and hurriedly slide into the pool next to them. Titus puts his arm around me and gives me a long kiss.

Only Elizabeth pauses on the side.

“What’s up?” Victoria asks, looking stunning in a black all-in-one costume with orange flowers across her breasts.

“I just wanted to check that nobody minds me getting in,” Elizabeth says, clutching her towel around her a little shyly.

We all look at her, puzzled. “What do you mean?” I ask.

“Well, I’ve heard that some people aren’t keen to go swimming with pregnant women…”

That comment is met with a slew of comments like, “Jesus, Elizabeth, just get in,” and “Oh for God’s sake, seriously?”

Oliver stares at her, shocked. “What are you talking about?” he asks as she sinks beneath the surface of the hot water.

“One of the women at my ante-natal class said she went swimming at the public pools last month, and a guy there said it was disgusting and it shouldn’t be allowed.”

“Holy shit,” Saxon says. “I hope she told him to go fuck himself.”

“I think she got out,” Elizabeth states. “She was embarrassed and upset.”

“I don’t get that at all,” Saxon replies. “I think pregnant women are sexy.”

“You think all women are sexy,” Evie points out. “You’ve got sex on the brain.”

“Harsh,” he says. “But true.”

We all chuckle.

“You made my mother blush,” I tell him.

He grins. “Good.”

“Fuck me, I don’t want to know that,” Oliver says. “For Christ’s sake, change the subject.”

“All right, I will,” I say. “So, Saxon, tell us about this redhead you met a couple of weeks ago. Titus said she asked you to strip for her and her friends, and apparently you obliged?”

“Oh my God,” Evie says, “more details, quick.”

He scowls. “I don’t think I’m ever going to live that down.”

“It was quite the show,” Mack states. “Especially the white boxers with red hearts you were wearing.”

“I did not reveal my boxers,” Saxon declares. “Did I?”

“Do you own a pair with red hearts on?” Sidnie asks him.

He opens his mouth to deny it, and then his lips curve up, and we all laugh. “Shit,” he says, “I didn’t think I went that far.”

Mack smirks. “Oh yes, my friend. There was very little left to the imagination.”

“Red hearts?” Evie queries.

Saxon pulls a face. “They were a Christmas present from my mother.”

“At least they stayed on,” Elizabeth says. “Until you got back to your hotel, anyway.”

He just gives a smug smile at that.
