“You all make compelling cases, but I won’t choose. I pick all three.” She turns her face into Pace’s thigh, rubbing her cheek there and purring in her throat. “I adore each of you individually, but together? Together, you make me feel like the most protected girl in the world. You make me feel cherished. You make my body feel a way it can’t with just one man. I want all three. I need all three of you.”

“Magnolia, this man is an FBI agent,” Karon says through his teeth.

“He’s a murderous gangster,” I growl, my finger itching on the trigger of my gun. “And your fellow ward is unstable, at best.”

“If I am mentally unglued, it’s all for her,” Pace says, training his gun on me, while still looking down at Magnolia, his fingers still sifting through her hair. “Everything is for her.”

“I can share once, Magnolia. We did it to break the curse, but…” Karson shakes his head, though there is conflict there. Doubt over what he’s saying? A lack of confidence? “I’m not a man who shares indefinitely. None of us are.”

“Then you’ll have to learn.” She comes to her feet, the shirt falling the remaining distance, leaving her standing in front of us fully naked. Enticing us in a way that cannot be described. She is the last ripe apple on earth and taking a bite leads to salvation, unimaginable pleasure, pure bliss. “I know my worth. I won’t accept any less than what I need.”

With that, she turns on a bare heel and sashays right out of the room, Maura scurrying in her wake.

Pace

I will kill them both.

They deny Magnolia what makes her happy? How fucking dare they. Sure, I threw my hat into the ring. What man worth his salt wouldn’t? However, once she spoke her wishes out loud, they became mine, too.

Magnolia gets what she wants. I will slaughter anyone who believes otherwise.

I am a different man than I was this morning. This morning, I planned to make Magnolia my wife, providing she chose me after the party. I wanted to spend the rest of my life consumed by her. Being the only man in her life. The only man she needs.

But I’ve been taught a valuable education.

My needs are not the only ones that exist.

My guardian has obsessed over Magnolia from afar, same as me.

Mateo saved her from a trauma in her youth and yearned for her. For years.

I am not the only one obsessed with Magnolia—and that makes a lot of sense to me. Because she inspires the kind of obsessed, fanatical devotion that is too untamed to be carried by one man alone. Perhaps it takes three. She believes it does. That’s what matters.

The three of us are still pointing our weapons at each other.

There is no sound in the room, save our shallow inhales and exhales.

“I don’t know about you two,” I drawl, keeping my eye on their trigger fingers. “But I’m in the business of meeting her needs. Whatever it takes.”

“If she isn’t happy, none of us are going to be happy,” Mateo says, after a moment. “One third of her attention is more fulfilling than the attention of millions.”

“God help me, I’m fucked. I’ll never look at another woman again.” Karson closes his eyes and swallows a groan. As if he’s reliving the time he spent inside of her giving body. “Take it from a man who has been around a lot longer, there will never be another one of her. Ever. Not for any of us. I could kill you both, lock her up and be the only man in her life, but I can’t stand the thought of her hating me. Fuck.”

“Are you both done pretending you didn’t like it?” I ask, watching their expressions carefully. “Mateo, you didn’t jizz a little harder watching me sink into her ass? Karson, you didn’t like the way my thrusts made her tits bounce around for you? You didn’t like watching his cock stretch her innocent mouth as wide as it would go?”

Mateo looks down at the ground, swallowing hard. Breathing hard.

A flush overtakes Karson’s neck.

“Admit you fucking loved it,” I demand.

Karson lets out a rocky exhale. “She grinded on my cock a lot harder when you were in her ass. She got tighter, too. More excited.”

“She loves having three,” Mateo says, half reluctant, half heated. “Yes, I…fine, I’ll admit it. I liked it. Watching you both squeeze into her holes. Hearing her beg for it.”

“Fine, we’re not as opposed to taking her at the same time, but…how in the hell would we make this work?” Karson wants to know. “A criminal, an FBI agent, a loose cannon—”

“It would never work,” Mateo interrupts.

“Not unless you become a mole for us, inside the bureau, Mateo,” I say smoothly, the idea having occurred to me several moments ago. “You give us information, we trust you. We give you information, you trust us. Simple as that. Everyone has leverage…”
