She was the one for me, and I knew it was fate that we ended up on that island together.

EPILOGUE

Rylee

It had been a whole year since I’d set foot on the island, and today it was under completely different circumstances. We took a boat, for one thing.

And weintendedto come here.

Hayden and I had been in a relationship since the day he showed up in the diner and I couldn’t have been happier. We started living together six months ago, and the only reason we didn’t do it sooner was because I was so busy with starting up my photography studio.

The business was a success already, and it was everything I dreamed of. I had gotten a lot of business as a wedding photographer and even managed to be featured in a couple of travel magazines by submitting pictures I took while traveling with Hayden.

Despite what happened on the flight where we met, I’d accompanied him on five separate business trips over the last year, going to Europe, Australia, and Canada. We even made it to Costa Rica. I’d traveled all over the world as a flight attendant, but it was so different to experience all of these things with Hayden by my side.

He made life fun and adventurous. He pushed me to try new things, but always respected my boundaries. He drove me wild and made me laugh.

“Home sweet home,” Hayden joked as we stepped off the boat and onto the dock. The island was just as beautiful as I remembered it, maybe even more so since the wreckage of the plane had been cleared away.

“Pretty sure our home is back in New York,” I replied with a smile.

“Maybe home is whereveryouare.”

He wrapped his arm around my waist to bring me closer and kissed my cheek. I rested my head on his shoulder as we walked, following the boat’s skipper, who was carrying our bags to the house.

“You can be really sweet, you know that?” I said, loving this side to him.

“Don’t tell anyone,” he replied with a smirk. “I have a reputation to protect.”

I playfully slapped his chest. “I think the secret’s out. I mean, Time Magazine just ran that article about you.”

“Ah, yes,” he said with a sigh. “The Billionaire That Cares. It almost rhymes.”

I laughed lightly. “I’m proud of you.”

Hayden had spent the last year giving away money. His primary charitable giving was toward cancer research to honor his grandfather. He’d given away millions of dollars for that cause alone.

He smiled down at me. “You know that you’re the reason I’m a better man, right?”

“I do what I can.”

We reached the house then, and the skipper departed after Hayden handed over some cash for his trouble. Then, we were alone.

Hayden barely waited for the guy to leave the house before he was dragging me up the stairs.

I laughed. “What are you doing?”

“I’ve wanted to get you back on this island for a long time. I’m going to take full advantage of it.”

When we reached his room, I found myself pressed up against the wall, one of his hands holding both of mine in place over my head and the other cupping my breast through the thin fabric of my dress as he slipped his tongue inside of my mouth.

My legs parted, and I felt his hand trail down, touching me through the dress. I moaned into the kiss, and he pulled back with a dark chuckle.

“You like that, don’t you sweetheart?” he murmured huskily. “Are you excited to be back at the first place you ever felt the kind of pleasure I can give you?”

“Yes.”

My voice was breathy, and I writhed against the wall and his hard body. I’d learned a lot about my sexuality over the last year, and one thing both Hayden and I knew was that a little sexy talk could get me going every time.
