“What?” she gasps, sitting up on her elbow. “Of course not. I just figured you wouldn’t want to see me in the morning or you’d have regret sleeping with your sister’s childhoodfriend.”

Jenna… Ugh. She’s going to kill me.

Ysenia smiles softly at me.

Well worth it.

Ysenia is more than another notch on my belt. She’s always been more to me. Jenna has known this for years. She even crossed Ysenia and my paths after all these years. If anything, this is her doing.

“I’m glad you didn’t leave. Should we order breakfast?”

“Jenna’s bridal brunch is today,” she reminds me.

“Ugh. Don’t remind me,” I groan.

“None of that,” she giggles. “We can suffer together.”

“So you’ll be my date?” Her cheeks blush and she averts her eyes.

“Date?” Hmm. Not too sure Jenna will like that,” she whispers.

“She was the one who wanted you to pick me up from the airport. She wanted us to spend time together.”

Ysenia slaps me playfully. She laughs and shakes her head.

“I don’t think this is what she had in mind.” She stares up at me.

“Maybe not, but I’m glad it did,” I grin. She rolls her eyes and waves a finger in my face.

“Don’t have to be so brazen about it, Sir.”

“You’re right.” I wrap my arms around her. I kiss her gently and smile. “Forgive me.”

“I’ll think about it,” she tenses.

I roll on top of her. My arms on both sides of her.

“Could always try seducing you into forgiving me,” I smirk.

Ysenia bites her bottom lip. Her body trembles. She closes her eyes and worry fills me that I went too fire.

Her eyes open and she grins.

“I’d like to see you try,” she replies seductively.

“My pleasure.”

Ysenia places her car in park. We both let out a groan. We look at each other and laugh.

“We could still make a run for it,” I offer.

“Jenna will never let you live that down,” she reminds me.

“You didn’t sayus. Not worried about Jenna being upset with you?”

Ysenia’s playfulness shifts in her eyes. She tenses then leans her head against the headrest.

“We aren’t that close. She dropped me like a bad habit a few years ago, right when I needed her most,” she whispers. “I was surprised to get a wedding invite, let alone be part of the wedding.”
