Anya smirks and chokes me until I can barely breathe. When she lets go, a man quickly ties a belt around my neck to keep my head in place. I scream and beg, but Anya closes the door, tormenting me with the light slowly fading before my eyes. And like a witch, she knocks on it while I plead. This can't be happening! This is all a dream! If I close my eyes, I'll wake up from this nightmare. Maybe I'll wake and find myself in the villa with Gabriel – where there were only good things even when they weren't true.

"Why keep them alive? We could dump them in the ocean as they did to you?" Anya yells while I turn on the cameras for the dungeon. "Except for her. I want her to feel like a whore with men ravishing her every night!"

I look at Anya, and she's scratching her skin again. She's trying to take the skin off the mark Xerxes places on her cheek. It's a constant reminder of Xerxes's wickedness. There were nights Anya would wake screaming, begging to be dead.Three weeks.Xerxes gifted her to his men. They took turns on her, beating her, treating her like an animal, and torturing her like a slave.

“She’s mine to hurt,” I tell Anya.

She growls and throws the vases in the room, but I ignore her. I let her do whatever she wants with Xerxes and the men she recognized to have tortured her, but Sasha is mine to punish, hurt, and kill. I want her to feel my anger and the very things I wanted to give her before I became a fool and loved her.

I hold Anya's hands to stop her from scratching herself. Everyone can tell she has PTSD, but she refuses to undergo training. She wants her revenge, and so do I. But I'm scared that Anya is becoming unhinged, but I'm hesitant to do something about it. She might view it as a betrayal. I'm afraid she'll do more damage to herself if she thinks that way.

Everything that happened to Anya is my fault. I dragged her into this. If I didn't fall for Sasha's innocent acts, Anya would not have suffered. I have calculated a counter to every risk of my revenge plan, but I fell for Sasha's trap. I almost doubted that Vigo was behind her plan, too, but it turns out, his loyalty was on me.

Vigo contracted an underground protection firm to watch my back. When Xerxes abducted me, they waited for the right time to save me. They managed to take Vigo and me out of the ocean. I don't know where he found them, but they offered a crappy service.

A few days after those men saved us, they gave us an envelope with our new fake identities. Their only mission is to keep us alive by accepting our fake death. But I don't want to be dead. I want Xerxes and Sasha Belov to know that Gabriel Petrovich is alive. And I'm ready to give them the pain of my revenge.

"You should have this taken care of, Anya," I say while kissing the scar on her cheek. "You don't have to carry it with you."

“No. Not while you have those scars,” Anya tries to touch my face but hesitates. My scar still grosses her out.

I look at my reflection through the window and frown. Because of the acid weapon that blew up on my face, scars ruined my face. I'm damn lucky it didn't affect my eyes. But half of my face looks like a decomposed man. My wounds have not healed yet. The pain keeps me awake at night. I like it that way. It keeps the devil inside me awake. It makes me creative on how I will make Sasha and her father suffer.

"Boss, can I enter?" Declan, my new right-hand man, asks after knocking on the door. He used to work under Vigo and was essential in my plan to win most of Xerxes's men to my side.

Should I trust Xerxes's men? No. But those dogs are loyal to money. Apparently, Xerxes starves them. I only doubled their allowance, and they are all on my side. I got lucky. I withdrew my father's offshore accounts before Xerxes could claim them.

Xerxes's greed provided me with heavier evidence against him. I sent Vitaly Petrovna, the highest boss, a record of Xerxes's visits to the bank and his attempt to withdraw the money. Though he did not take anything, I made it appear that he got everything. Now, the security group is after him. They mobilized the other brigades to get the money from him.

I took the chance and met with Vitaly and told him about another account kept under my name. I claimed that Xerxes couldn't close it because I'm still alive. It has more than $ 20 million, and I offered everything to Vitaly. I only asked for one favor – I will have the right to punish Sasha and Xerxes.

Vitaly laughed at my offer; he found it stupid. Who would exchange $ 20 million for petty revenge? After some bluffing games with him, he finally gave up. He would be more stupid to kill Xerxes and Sasha for his pride. Also, he was secretly happy I took the blood of two people from his hands.

“Xerxes is in the basement. What do you want us to do with him?” Declan asks. “Also, the girl is in the villa. We locked her in the basement, too.”

I smile at Anya while squeezing her hand. “It’s time to make them pay, Anya.”

Priceless.

The shock and fear in Xerxes's eyes when he sees me are worth every dollar I have spent for this revenge. The man never expected me to live after he threw me into the cold ocean. Even if I died that night, I would still rise from hell and kill him. Vigo is still fighting for his life in the ICU while this man became busy trying to reap what my father sowed.

“My malyshka? Where is she? What did you do to her?”

Xerxes struggles to get out of the coffin, but he remains helpless. I sit on a chair and look down at him. "Sasha? She's getting marked. In the pussy with your former men."

Xerxes pales before he turns red in anger. His anger magnifies his strength, and he almost turns the coffin upside-down. I laugh at his effort. Why would Sasha take my side when her father is the best for her? Their bond as father and daughter strengthens my theory that they have always been on this together.

They must have made me think I'm in the driver's seat of everything that happened between us, but Sasha took the wheel at the last minute and dropped me off to her father. What can I expect from a daughter of a man who is a master of manipulation?

Xerxes always knew I was alive. Why would he let me live? Vigo was sure Xerxes wanted my father's clan to end. The answer became clear to me on the day we met. He needed my father's money. My guess is he will use that money to buy his freedom. Meanwhile, all the money he embezzled from the organization will remain his.

But I still wonder why he would sell Sasha to the Fadors. With my parents' money, he can buy both their freedom. Unless Sasha already knew the Fadors. Maybe Dmitri isn't some stranger. Maybe she was okay with marrying him. I've seen Dmitri in the pictures, and I admit he is handsome. But Sasha was a virgin. If they were into each other, I don't think Dmitri would not want to get Sasha's virginity for himself.
