“Should we open a food truck and sell those?” Gabriel suggests while squeezing my sole. “We can make a fortune out of it.”

I laugh at his suggestion. I never thought of opening a food truck, but I did think about having a simple life. Small house. Maybe an eight-hour job. Two kids. And of course, a loving husband. I also thought of moments like this. Us sitting under the night sky, enjoying some drinks, and planning the future.

If only Papa could allow it.

I look at Gabriel and softly smile. We’re not criminals, but we have to run away. His life after prison has only just begun, but I'm letting him live like a fugitive. I shake the guilt off my head and look at Gabriel. I can tell our feelings are mutual. He is as happy as I am. We are in love; I have to work harder to keep him in love with me.

I'm confident about his love, but my lack of confidence sometimes scares me. I'm not a hot chick. Though I'm fat, I still have some curves. But how long will a man as handsome as Gabriel stay before he realizes somebody hotter can also love him as I can?

“What are you thinking?” Gabriel asks after I become silent for a while.

"I will not always be fat. I promise I'll exercise and be the hottest for you," I say with a determined smile.

Gabriel laughs a little. He cups my cheeks and playfully pinches them. “You are already hot for me, Sasha. If you want to lose weight and become more beautiful, do it for yourself. Not for me.”

“You’re only saying that because you’re so in love with me now. But what if that love…”

“That love will never fade, Sasha.”

My throat shakes as my heart pounds so hard. I feel like it's about to explode and will jump out through my ears or mouth. The sincerity in Gabriel's eyes wraps me with joy. His smile gives me confidence. His love fuels my greed.

“I love you,” I finally said.

Gabriel's face lights up. He leans closer and kisses me. I cling to his neck and put a weight on my back to drag him down. He chuckles and showers my neck with kisses. I giggle while throwing my head to the back, allowing him to explore my skin more.

“Gabriel,” I squeal a little when he strums his fingers on my outer thigh and slowly moves it to the edge of my butt.

He playfully growls and covers my mouth with a kiss. My giggles get muffled and slowly turn into loving moans. I pull away from him and exhale against his face as his other hand moves to my inner thigh. A cheeky smile appears on his lips before he slides his fingers inside my panties.

“Let’s go to sleep. You’re tired,” Gabriel declares with a loud laugh.

Before I can object, he carries me in his arms and brings me to the room. “I’m not tired,” I shamelessly tell him.

"We only have three days left before you walk down the aisle," I blush at his reminder. Gabriel kisses me and whispers, "I don't want you aching.”

"In case you haven't noticed," I try to hold back my yawn, but I end up doing it when I add, "I'm a big girl."

Gabriel chuckles and pushes his forehead against mine. “A tired big girl. Tonight, we sleep.”

I cling to his neck and kiss him. “It’s your loss,” I say like a snobby brat.

His laugh grows louder, covering the whole room. I can't help but laugh with him. I don't know if he's too happy or somebody who is easily pleased. I hold his cheek and smile lovingly at him. Gabriel Mullin is a good man. I'm one lucky woman.

Gabriel

I open my eyes, and Sasha's beauty graces me. We barely slept the past few days because all we wanted was to make love to each other. But our little rests revive me more than any sleep I had in years. And the feeling that overwhelms me when I wake is the best I had in my life. Every day, it becomes more beautiful. Every day, I want it more and more.

Sasha still sleeps the same way. Her hands still hold my arms, ready to hold me back when I leave. She told me that, in her dreams, she always held me. But I know what's in her head. She's afraid somebody can take me away.

I caress her face gently as I think about what to do with my plan for revenge. I've thrown away most of it except for killing Xerxes. Everything in this house should be cleaned up. It should not have a trace that could remind me about the bad things I wanted to do to her. In my plan, Sasha shouldn't be sleeping with a smile. She should be crying herself to sleep, wondering when she'll kill herself.

I plan to bring her back here after I kill her father. It will be our home. It should only contain our happy memories. I have to clean it up. The thought makes me rise from the bed, startling Sasha. I kiss her on the forehead and keep my lips on it while whispering, "I'll be back. I'll always be back."

Slowly, I slide her hands off my arm and cover her with a blanket. Her smile returns as she hugs the pillow I place between her arms.A baby,I thought while silently laughing.

The basement. It is supposed to be Sasha's prison. I had it made well to contain her cries. So, no one can help her, even if she screams at the whole world. It was where I was to punish her and turn her into a crazy woman – just like what her father did to my mother.
