“With everything in us,” Nathair answers, and the others agree, making me gape.

“See? Why were you worried?” He winks at me.

“I guess I wanted them to tellmethey loved me first, not you, you know?” I glare, and he grins.

“She’s always been like this.” He huffs at them. “When we were kids, there was this boy, and he was obsessed with her. He would follow her around, and she just thought he was being nice and wanted to be friends. The poor boy did everything to prove how he felt, and she was confident they were just friends right up until he kissed her.”

Lycus grins. “What did she do then?”

“She just stared at him dumbly then looked at me and told me I was right. They dated for a whole year after that. She’s clueless of the effect she has on people, always has been.”

“Have not,” I mutter, crossing my arms defensively.

“We’ve not known you that long, love, and I can tell you that’s true,” Conall retorts.

“Do not team up against me,” I warn.

“Or what?” Reve grins.

“Or you’ll be sleeping in Lycus’s arms,” I counter as Lycus gapes at me.

“What did I do?”

“You started it,” I point out, and he grins guiltily.

“You’re beautiful,” he purrs.

“Idiots. All of you,” I mutter as Simon laughs.

“I’m glad you’ve met someone, or someones, who can keep up with you, Thea,” he says with a soft grin, and it’s clear what he thinks of them. He likes them all, and Simon’s opinion matters to me a lot. He’s the most important person in my life, and I’m sad I wasn’t there to meet his mate with him.

His smile drops like he knows my thoughts. “You will meet him. I’ve told him everything about you, Thea. He told me that you must be very special for me to love you, and he cannot wait to try to impress you.”

I roll my lip inwards to hold back my emotions. “Am I invited to your mating?”

“Only if you tell me about sharing.”

I tackle him, and he laughs as I tickle him, and then I flop back.

“I missed you so much, Thea.”

“I missed you too.”

“I guess we better get started on saving our race then, eh? The quicker we do, the quicker we can all have one big, giant mating ceremony and get on with having lots of kinky sex.” He rubs his hands together.

“I couldn’t have said it better myself,” Nathair says.

“I’m surrounded by morons,” I mutter, even though I can’t help but grin. “Okay, let’s do this.”

“Operation Vampyr Takedown, no, wait . . . Operation Day Walker?” Simon suggests.

“Day walker? As inBlade?” Reve asks. “He’s badass!”

“You two are perfect for each other.” Simon grins. “Okay, so which court do we start with?”

“Azul, what was yours?” I ask, and he stiffens, swinging his eyes to me. “I have a promise to keep, after all.”

“Principes,” he offers grudgingly.
