Porter nodded, giving me a soft smile. “The stories I mentioned last night are yours, Raven. I guess it makes sense now why we already feel connected. We’ve known you most of our lives.”

I sucked in a breath, considering what he was saying. They’d known me. Even if I hadn’t known about them, they’d been out in the world, thinking about me as they went about their days. That realization blew me away, pushing aside any residual doubts and fears.

I’d been trying to reconcile how these guys could feel so comfortable and safe and figured I’d gone crazy. But it turned out they’d been carrying a piece of me with them. When we’d all met, it slotted into place, connecting us on a deeper level than any of us had been prepared for.

“Wow. I don’t know what to say. Which, for a person who routinely talks to herself out loud, is rather shocking.”

The guys chuckled, their focus still on me, making those butterflies turn into a full-blown frenzy.

“I’ve finally found my lost boys, my home.”

Their smiles could’ve powered an entire town as they beamed at me, warming me from the inside out. Rueben bent down, his beard tickling my skin as his lips moved against my ear.

“And you’re ours.”

My eyelids fluttered closed, the promise and depth of those three words sending my body into overdrive as my skin heated, my body shuddering, and my breath hitching. A throbbing built in my core, a needy feeling pounding in time with my heart. I opened my eyes, seeing how the guys focused on me, watching my body respond to their attention. Rueben’s leg shifted, hitting me right where I wanted, his large hands flexing against my body.

A tingle raced down my spine, and quicker than I knew what was happening, my body convulsed as fireworks spread through me, lighting every nerve ending on fire. I gasped, a moan slipping out as I shuddered in Rueben’s arms, liquid heat pouring from me.

“Fucking hell, did she…”

“Yeah, I think so. It was magnificent.”

“The most amazing thing I’ve ever witnessed.”

When my breathing calmed, I braved the silence, opening my eyes. Hungry eyes full of heat watched me, and for once, I wasn’t scared of what it meant.

Their gazes trackedmy every move; my skin warmed under their attention. I licked my lips, not used to this many people focusing on me at once.

“So, um,” Otto cleared his throat, shaking his head like he had to clear the cobwebs. “Want to see what happens the day after a heist?” he asked, his smile reaching his eyes.

“Heist!” I pointed my finger at the twins in triumph. Otto watched me curiously, his eyes bouncing between us.

Porter rolled his eyes, groaning as he lowered his head to the table, barely missing his plate covered in syrup. Phoenix chuckled, grabbing my finger and taking a playful bite.

“Fine, you win. Apparently, we do call it a heist, though; I’ve never heard it before,” Porter said, pouting playfully.

“I still think it should be hi-jinks,” Phoenix muttered, shrugging his shoulders. He hadn’t let go of my finger, swinging it around as he spoke. I giggled, enjoying being around them all so much. It was easy, and I didn’t have to worry if I was boring them.

“I take that as a yes?” Otto asked, reminding me he’d asked a question.

“Yes, that would be amazing! I love to learn new things, and I’ve been a healthy stalker of Loxley Crew online. Watching you work sounds exciting.”

“Healthy stalker.” Porter chuckled before he got up and collected the plates. “Just when I think you can’t get any cuter, you go and show me up.”

He dropped a kiss on my forehead as he took my plate, singing as he started to wash the dishes. Phoenix hopped up, joining his brother at the sink, and grabbed a towel.

“I’ll be there in a minute,” he hollered over his shoulder.

Rueben stood, taking me with him as he walked to the living room and sat me on a table I hadn’t noticed until then. It was pressed against the wall and covered in blueprints, notes, and schematics. I picked one up and looked over it.

“You don’t have the original blueprints. The ones that had the secret passageways,” I muttered before dropping it back.

“Passageways! Phoenix had mentioned you came through a door we hadn’t known about, but I hadn’t considered passageways,” Otto mused, taking a seat and pulling on a pair of glasses to look closer to where I’d pointed. He looked adorable, and I wanted to pinch his cheeks. To stop myself, I picked up another sheet, my eyes absorbing the information about the safe and its presumed contents.
