“Two.”

She says my name over and over again like a prayer.

“One.”

Her eyes roll into the back of her head, her mouth opening wide to scream.

“Come, angel. Let me feel you. That’s it.”

Her pussy clenches my cock tight, her walls fluttering around my shaft as wave after wave of pleasure sweeps through her. The tight coil of heat deep within my core suddenly bursts, lighting up my insides like a firework show. It’s bright and brilliant and all-consuming, the relief and satisfaction that comes after overwhelming and well-earned.

I hold her close, kissing her with such fervor and need that I can’t remember what it was like not to have her in my life. We didn’t exactly have the most conventional of meetings, but now that I have her, I don’t think I would have had it any other way.

“I love you,” I say against her lips.

She smiles, the corners of her baby blues crinkling. “I love you, too.”

Chapter 46

Natalya

“This is for you!” Aurora declares as she hands me a huge floral arrangement of white camellias, which are cinched off with a pretty pink bow. It smells delightful, sweet and welcoming. “I was in the neighborhood on a shopping trip and thought I’d drop by.”

“Thank you so much,” I reply. “Please, come in. I’ll give you a tour after I put these in some water.”

From his playpen, Simon raises a hand in a wave. He flexes his little fingers. “Hi!” he greets.

Aurora giggles. “Hello, sweetie. Gosh, you’re getting so big!”

“Hi, hi!”

I throw my head back and laugh. “As you can see, he has a new favorite word. Hiandhungry.”

“That’s so adorable. Enjoy it while it lasts, though. Next thing you know, he’ll be chatting your ear off and you’ll wish you had a little peace and quiet.”

“Thank you for coming to visit. I hope the drive wasn’t too much of a hassle.”

“Oh, stop it. I’d walk over a bed of hot coals for a little bit of girl time. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with Mikhail and the kids, but sometimes it’s nice to talk to someone about thingsotherthan schoolwork or Bratva business.”

I giggle. “I get that. Between house renovations and the meetings he has to take, I’m starting to wonder if Dimitri is capable of talking about anything else. I keep telling him he needs to pick up a hobby.”

“Hey…” Dimitri grumbles, half-joking, as he rounds the corner. He moseys over and hugs me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist while he presses a sloppy kiss to my cheek. He has one protective hand over my growing baby bump. “Words hurt, you know.”

“Oh no,” I say, feigning worry. “Do you think you’ll survive?”

He rests his chin on my shoulder and cuddles close. Dimitri shakes his head, smiling playfully. “I think I’m a goner, Doc. Tell my kids I love them.”

I roll my eyes. “I hope they don’t inherit your drama queen genetics.”

“You and I both know that isn’t a thing.”

“Actually, studies have shown—”

Dimitri groans. “I hate it when you do that.”

“Do what? Cite my sources?”

“Yeah. I’m never prepared with a counterargument.”
