His words sent her over the top, and wave after wave of ecstasy hit her, and she flew into her orgasm.

As she floated back to earth, reality seemed to hit her like a ton of bricks.

“What am I doing? I can’t do this with you.” She pulled her shorts up and jumped from the bed.

“Asia, wait,” Dusty called to her back as she fled his room.

She didn’t stop until she had shut and locked her door, leaning against it, knowing he probably wouldn’t chase after her right away as he was still stark naked.

What had gotten into her? He made her feel amazing. His body was amazing. But she couldn’t go down this path. She had to stop.

She bit her bottom lip and slid to the floor, resting her back against the wood, and wrapped her arms around her knees.

She just didn’t know if shecouldstop.

CHAPTER TWENTY

By early evening, the boats in the distant harbor rocked with the churning waves. The skies darkened, and the winds picked up.

Dusty paced in the hall outside Asia’s door.

The men had all left, leaving only Stan, Asia, and himself.

He’d come to check on her, and lifted his hand to knock, but paused with his knuckles an inch from the wood. He should stay away from her. He should leave her alone. Everything in him told him to walk away, but his heart wouldn’t let him.

He put his palm on the frame and dropped his head.

Why couldn’t he get her out of his head?

An arm reached past him and rapped on the door, and he panicked, spinning.

Stan stood there with a big grin. He slapped his hand on Dusty’s shoulder. “You’re welcome.” Then he strode down the hall toward his room, but turned halfway and walked backward. “By the way, I’m sleeping with earplugs tonight, so I won’t hear a thing.” He winked and pointed at Dusty. “You’re also welcome.”

“Come in,” Asia called from the room. Dusty took a breath and turned the knob. He wasn’t even sure what he was going to say.

He stepped inside and found her standing in the open French doors that led to the balcony, staring out at the weather. He came up behind her and watched over her shoulder. They could see rain falling from the clouds out over the water. Soon a light rain pattered down on the pool and balcony. In a matter of minutes, it became a downpour.

Trees and branches swayed with the gusting winds.

“It’s looks like a bad storm brewing out there,” Asia murmured, rubbing her arms.

Dusty moved to close the balcony doors as the winds picked up and the rain began to fall sideways.

“Chris and the guys made it out. They landed in Miami about twenty minutes ago. Weather service says we're in for a strong tropical storm. It changed directions last night and is headed right for us.”

“Will we be safe here?”

“We should be fine. The house is solid cement block under the stucco, and we’re on high ground, so we shouldn’t have to worry about storm surge or flooding. We might lose power, though. I’ll have to check if there’s a generator. I’m sure the Wyatt s would have thought to put one in, as much as this place is worth.”

“So how bad will it get?”

“Torrential rain and just below hurricane-force winds.”

“That could change, though, right? I mean, sometimes these things intensify, don’t they?”

“Sometimes. We’ll keep a close watch, but don’t worry about something that hasn’t happened yet. At least there’s one silver lining.”

“What’s that?”
