“We’ll sort this out.”

“Thank you.”

“Tomorrow,” Kieran says, and Aurora elbows him.

The van parks in front of their house.

“Well, if you all stay, I stay.” Cameron steps out.

“You have your own place one mile from here, and only the staff still live there.”

At Kieran’s words, Alessandra says, “Can I stay there?”

Kieran, Kieran, you have to give it to him, this guy always gets his way.

“But . . .”

“Thank you, Aurora, and it means so much to me, you have no idea. But I need some time to myself.”

“I’ll come to see you tomorrow.”

With that, she leaves with Cameron, while Hayden clenches his jaw so hard it might crack. Kieran says to me and Cato, “You have your own place. Good night.”

Aurora shoots us an apologetic glance, and Kieran ushers her into the house. She giggles at whatever he whispers in her ear.

We reach the penthouse garage after a suffocating silence. I get out of the car, and he drives away.

“Where is he going?”

The men look at each other, and one says, “He didn’t say, ma’am.”

Ah, he wants it the hard way.

“These cars are all his, right?”

It’s apprehension I find in their gazes. I find a red Ferrari, and it’s the weapon of choice in the plans I have percolating for tonight. I step inside the elevator, with three guards behind me. I would have never thought one day I would get used to this, and now it’s just background noise. I don’t even perceive it as a bother any longer.

I run to Cato’s office and greet Slith, petting him. “I am going to teach your daddy a very important lesson. Do not get your woman mad.”

I snatch the keys from his office and head for the elevator, making a quick call to my mother and his to invite our families over for dinner. It’s long overdue.

When I press the button, one of the guards asks, “Where are we going, ma’am?”

“We are not going anywhere. I am.”

With apologetic glances, they step inside the elevator with me.

I rush toward the car while they take an Escalade.

“Let’s see how much power you have.”

I press the gas, and my ass vibrates under me. Who needs a man when you have a Ferrari, less headache and all fun?

I have to give it to them, they try to keep up, but I am a fast driver. I also want to show off this beauty.

I take a sharp right and another one and watch them eat my dust in the rearview mirror.

Do not mess with me, Cato.
