After that, we climbed the stairs to the upper floor. Andrei squeezed my hand tighter and glanced at my face. Each room was better and better, and the master’s balcony had a stunning view onto the turquoise waters and beach. I couldn’t help but imagine myself sitting here, taking in the sun and drinking a cocktail. I stared at the white beach beyond and felt nothing but peace.

“This is wonderful,” I sighed. “I love it here.”

“Okay, so you take it?” the agent asked. “It comes with a beach bar license.”

Andrei looked at me, then nodded. “If this is what you want...”

I kissed him with a smile on my lips. “I do.”

“All right, then. We’ll take it,” Andrei said to the realtor.

After that, we walked out of the house, and Andrei and the agent spoke for a few minutes about the cost. The relator agreed to a cash price of the books, so there was a little work to do.

Andrei had to open a local bank account, move some funds around, and then he would be able to pay in cash.

Within a few days, we had settled into our new home by the beach. Fast enough to make my head spin, but my heart was glad to have our own space.

From our bedroom, we could hear the hushing sounds of the waves on the beach and the sound of seagulls. We watched as the water danced toward the beach and then back out again. Later, Andrei and I sat in the living room, flipping through channels on the TV. I was sitting between his thighs, his arms wrapped around me. It was amazing!

“How do you like it here?” I asked, turning toward him.

“I like it.”

“Give me more than that, Andrei.” I laughed and gave his knee a squeeze.

He faintly smiled. “All right. This is a beautiful place. We can live here and have our privacy, which is what I had hoped for.”

“I love how peaceful it is out here, how close nature feels. This place might need fresh paint though.”

“And some cameras.”

“You don’t think it’s safe here?” I asked, looking a little worried. He looked at me.

“It’s safe enough for now. But we have to be ready for anything. Expect the unexpected.” He sighed, squeezing my body tighter. Then he kissed me.

I kissed him back. If he kept holding on to me like that, I might just have to make him a very happy man tonight, too.

A few weeks later

I ran out of the house toward the beach wearing only my thong and bra. My life here so far reminded me of being stranded on an island with the hottest man on Earth.

The wind blew my hair backward as I ran toward the sea. I wasn’t used to heaven and didn’t know if I ever would be—the beauty of this place, how free I felt. Looking at the ocean was now part of my morning routine.

Andrei was behind me, chasing after me as I rushed toward the water, and together, we splashed into the waves. I squealed when Andrei splashed water on my face despite enjoying its coolness. He closed the gap between us and hugged me. I tried to move around, but my legs were deep in the sand, and I staggered and landed on my back in the water. But before I sank underwater, Andrei pulled me back up, smiling, and carried me back to the beach. He managed to carry me to the shallower part of the shore and lay me down on my back. There, I rested on the sand and couldn't stop laughing, my back against the warm sand, the water flowing toward my legs and lapping against my buttocks, then flowing back away.

I grinned from ear to ear and shielded my face from the sun with my palm. Andrei leaned toward me, his hands on each side of my body, his head shielding me from the sun. He bent down and quieted me with kisses. How did this man make me feel hornier and happier with every second he was in my life? Anything and everything he did turned me on and made me glow from the inside.

The sound of a phone ringing reached us from the house, and he stopped kissing me and looked up.

“No...” I mumbled, not wanting the kiss to end.

“Sorry, babe. I’ve been expecting this call,” he apologized as he got up and ran toward the house. I knew he’d been in contact with somebody back home asking about his sister.

I watched him reach the house and pick up the phone. The big open windows made it easy enough to see him, talking and moving around, the phone held to his ear. Briefly, he looked at the beach and at me and then he came back out to the terrace and held onto the railing. His eyes darted back to my face, and I smiled at him. He looked away.

I got up and stepped into the water to wash off the sand on my back. The way Andrei had been looking at me suggested something was wrong. I began to walk back toward the house, but my vision was getting blurry. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the ground. My vision got a little clearer, but my body suddenly felt very weak. I kept going anyway, hoping I would feel better once I got into the house. Maybe I just needed to drink some water and have some food? I hadn't eaten anything that morning. But when I got to the terrace, I almost fell down, and only caught myself by quickly grabbing the railing.

Andrei put the phone down and rushed toward me, steadying me on my feet with his hands.
