C:Some asshole who is owed a favor for taking care of our mess. He bought his way in.

Fuck, that means there is someone we don't know walking around campus. It means we all must attend to be properly introduced. Members of the Order and their sons are spread out across the U.S. Sons of important politicians and leaders with special issues are sent to Kenyan. I wonder what this guy's poison is? Mine is sex. I'm a sex addict, amongst other things. I like drugs, fast cars, and pussy. Every rockstar’s dream, but I'm no rockstar. My fix is the next orgasm, but luckily, I don't have any problems getting my fix. I have more than I need when I want, where I want, and how I like it.

Except for a brunette that turned me down. I'll have to rectify that a little later. I'll fuck the guilt or fear right out of her, and she will be smiling by morning. All better. But only when I find the bastard responsible for fucking with her.

V: Who is it? We have other shit to worry about.

They know I mean Warren and how we will dispose of our little problem with a small dick. It slipped out of a girl's mouth at a party I attended. I think her name was Melly. She said it felt like a tampon going in. Her words, not mine. It is a wonder why Warren is obsessed with Gia, but Veronica's obsession with Warren has my mind on the fritz. It makes no sense to me, but that bitch is Satan's spawn so there must be a reason. The only thing that comes to mind about Warren that the twins, Reid and me can agree on, is that Warren is a predator.

"Did you get the text?" Geo asks behind me, and I slip my phone inside my locker after locking the screen.

"You know I did. What do you want to ask?"

Of course, I got the text, but this asshole has been making small talk since I showed up, and I can't slip on my swim shorts while he is standing behind me. He isn't stupid. I'm one of the founding sons of Kenyan.

"Dude, are you Greek?"

Geo looks at me, confused, ready to head out. "Nah, man. Why would you think that?"

"Because I can't get dressed with you standing behind me, looking at me from behind. I mean, it's all good if you are, but fuck. Not all of us are down like that."

I hear laughing from the left. "He has a point."

I turn my head, and Reid has a sinister look in his eye. "Get lost, Geo. If not, I might have to see how long you can hold your breath underwater."

Geo holds his hands up nervously. His eyes projecting fear at Reid's threat. He knows Reid doesn't fuck around when he is in a mood to play. "I just wanted to ask if he is serious about a girl I’ve seen him with."

I slide my pants down along with my boxers, not giving a fuck that my dick has sprung out. Reid leans on the metal lockers with one of his shoulders, loving how uncomfortable Geo is. He didn't leave when I warned him. I want to laugh in his face while he is trying to keep a straight one.

"I'm around a lot of girls, so it doesn't matter. Go for it."

"Go for the blondes," Reid tells Geo. "The blonde ones," he repeats.

"I kinda like the brunettes."

Reid laughs, but it's different. I slide my shorts on, adjusting myself. Geo said nothing funny, but Reid can act like that sometimes.

I turn around, securing my locker, and notice Reid smiling at Geo as he shoves at his shoulder. "The blondes, dude. They're more fun when finding out if they are true blondes. It's like a scavenger hunt."

The strange thing about what Reid just said to Geo is that Reid doesn't like blondes. I don't think I have ever seen him with one.

CHAPTER9

Reid

I’m sitting in a pew inside the church, waiting for our fathers to take the front and address the members. The Bedford twins are standing next to their father as I should be standing next to mine like Valen, but I’m not like them. Never have been and never will be. I have my own set of rules that I adhere to and that includes not following certain rules. Maybe all of them, but who’s counting.

Everyone knows who I am. I don’t need to remind everyone by standing up next to my father. Only when it’s necessary. My sister isn’t here anymore, so why should I stand. She’s in the cemetery behind me, feeding the earth as we speak.

“I would like to introduce you to Mich Levine. His father, Mr. Levine, has been a member of the Order for fifty years since he bought and took over Cedar Lake in Ohio. He was attending classes online to help with our business matters.”

My head snaps to attention at the mention of the town where Jess is from. It isn’t uncommon and it may be just a coincidence and he doesn’t know who she is. All eyes are trained on a particular man to the right with a strong build. You can tell he was handsome when he was younger, and still is for his age. If his son was taking care of matters, it means disposing of the mess we made in Ohio. Cops, burying bodies that can never be found and that sort of thing. I call it bottom-feeding, but someone has to do it and they do it gladly in exchange for the wealth and power it yields.

So, the prick’s son didn’t buy in, he was already a member by proxy.

My eyes follow the man’s son named Mich. Mich looks like an uppity asshole that has gotten everything he has ever wanted. Now, he has to find a wife. Rules of the Order and why he is here. I wonder what idiot would like to be on his arm with his collegiate looking sweater and slacks.

He isn’t unattractive, but you can tell he has to hit the gym to get his build, but he will have no trouble getting females on campus. Especially, Prey. He looks like he could be the head of a frat house. A boring jerk that looks forward to getting drunk on the weekends and spending his father’s money. But he doesn’t have time to do that, does he. Time is ticking.
