I brush my lips lightly over hers, and answer, so close my lips graze hers as I speak. “No.”

My cock pulses, pre-cum dripping from the end. I grip my shaft, flicking my hand up roughly from the base, and position my tip at her soaking wet entrance.

“Now, let’s get you pregnant.”

Last Year in July

“You missed out this weekend,” Harrison gloats with a conceited grin.

“I had a good one, too.” I keep my facial expression as muted as possible. His gaze narrows, and I lift my water bottle and chug.

“Not like mine. My club. Worth every dollar.” He leans over the table, glancing around to double-check no one is listening in. No one’s listening. No one during the lunchtime rush cares what two middle-aged guys are talking about. “There’s this back room. Holy shit. The women. To die for. Holy. Fuck. You’ve got to come with me. Thursday night.”

“I don’t think so.” I pop a carrot into my mouth and let the crunch convey my low interest level in his chosen topic. I’ve nothing against a place that makes sexual encounters easy to obtain, but it’s not my scene.

Harrison narrows his eyes into slits. He can push all he wants. I’m not changing my mind. I lift my wrap and bite.

A host of fast lunch options exist near the hospital, but That’s A Wrap is the one we frequent the most. The cafeteria isn’t horrible, but midday fresh air is a mental boost.

Harrison scratches his jaw, watching me. “That hottie tottie came back to town last weekend, didn’t she?”

I shrug and take another bite.

“Damn. My man is off the market.”

“It’s not like that.” I look him directly in the eye so he’ll listen. “She needs a sperm donor. We’re friends. I offered.”

Harrison’s mouth drops open into a dumbfounded gape. “Dude. Wait. Let me get this straight. The plan is for you to sleep with her, knock her up, and then what… go back to being just friends? Friends who fucked?”

I nod and swallow my water. It doesn’t sound as reasonable when he says it, but that’s due to the exaggerated emphasis he’s putting on each word.

“For such an intelligent person, you can be a real dunce.”

“This is what she wants.” Besides, my family still sees her as Sam’s. And I’m not an idiot. I’m violating serious bro’ code, even if two decades have passed. She’s not just a girl. She was his first love. But I’m not about to drop all that on Harrison while he’s on a rant. It’ll just make me look like a bigger fool. Or maybe the word is ass.

“Well, if you’re just boning a friend as a favor, then you should totally come with me Thursday night. It’s a leather and lace theme. Live out some fantasies. You’re not in a committed relationship. She shouldn’t mind.”

I consider his argument. He’s correct, Sunny shouldn’t mind. But the fact is, last weekend I lived out my fantasies. I don’t need a guest pass to Harrison’s sex club.

“Dude. Think about what I am offering. It’s rare I’ll be able to bring a male guest. And there is no guilt. All these women want the exact same thing.”

“We’re not using protection.” Harrison leans forward to hear me better, because out of respect for Sunny, I lowered my voice. “I’m not about to risk giving her something.”

“Everyone at the club is tested monthly. And we use condoms.” He crosses his arms, and I get the sense he’s putting obstacles up solely to argue with me.

“Fantastic.” I ball up my napkin and drop it on the tray. “Still not risking it.”

“You don’t comprehend what you’re missing out on.”

I shake my head and stand. “She’s one of my best friends. Not doing it.”

Harrison nods slowly. He either understands or he’s decided it’s not worth arguing over. “I guess you don’t even want to hear about the orgy room?”

“No, really don’t.”
