My eyes widen. “What the fuck is that?”

Colby shrugs. “Dunno. There was a different one that hit my phone last week as well. His father lost his shit and summoned him into his office to rip him a new one. He’s been in a crap mood ever since.”

My hand rises to scratch the scruff on my jaw. “Whoever hacked into the university system and posted that BS must be tech savvy.”

“I’m sure Coach caught wind of it as well.”

I wince. “That’s almost worse than his dick of a father.”

“Yeah. I know my way around a computer pretty well, but even I couldn’t pull off anything like this,” Colby adds.

Just as I grab my tray, a flash of long dark hair catches my attention and my gaze slices to Juliette as she walks through the Union. The sight of her is like a punch to the gut, and the force of it nearly steals my breath away. My reaction to her has always been visceral, but now it’s even more so.

Now I know exactly what she feels like beneath my hands. And the floral scent of her skin when I bury my face against the delicate hollow of her throat. I know exactly how it feels to have my cock surrounded by her tight heat and the way her inner muscles clench, milking every last drop from my dick when she orgasms.

Even thinking about it is enough to have a semi stirring in my jeans.

“Hey, you coming or what?” Colby asks, shifting his weight and raising a brow.

I force my gaze back to him. “Nah. Go without me. There’s something I gotta take care of.”

“All right. See you at practice.”

“Yeah, later.”

As soon as he takes off, I dump the tray and beeline for Juliette. She hasn’t caught sight of me yet. Anytime she’s around, everything else falls away until she’s all I’m cognizant of. I’ve been with my fair share of girls, and none of them have ever made me feel this way.

When it comes down to it, none of them have ever made mefeel.

Period.

Just her.

But isn’t that one of the reasons I’ve always steered clear? Because I knew deep down that everything would be different with Juliette?

She glances up from her phone as I pull up alongside her.

“Hey.” It’s so damn tempting to haul her into my arms and press her close. To bury my face in her hair and inhale a giant breath. It never fails to calm the inner turmoil roiling beneath the surface.

Fuck.

“Hi.”

Instead of giving in to temptation, I ask, “What are you up to this afternoon?”

“I have class in twenty minutes. I was just about to grab a coffee at the Roasted Bean.”

“Blow it off and let’s do something.” The words are out of my mouth before I can fully think them through.

“You want me to skip class?” There’s a pause as surprise morphs across her features. “Now?”

When she continues to stare like I’ve grown a horn on my head, I shrug. “Why not? It’s on the list, isn’t it?”

It takes a second or two before she admits, “Yeah. But...”

“You do realize the world won’t end just because you don’t show up to one class, right?

She shifts before sucking the fullness of her bottom lip into her mouth and chewing it. “Are you sure about that?”
