“No, ma’am,” he said. “I work with the Texas Rangers and I’ve been watching you undercover.”
“Well, good for you,” she said laughing. “I haven’t done anything wrong. I’m not going with you. Besides, this is my friend’s wedding. I’m waiting to catch the bouquet and then I’ll be getting into my rental car and going back to San Antonio for the night. Tomorrow I fly back to New York.”
The man sighed. “Are you coming with me or not?”
“No,” she said.
The man had on a suit coat and a dark hat, and his emerald eyes were dusky.
Just then a second man walked up. “Is she the one?”
“She’s our perp,” the man said.
“Are you guys serious?” she said.
They surrounded her and then she felt the slip of the handcuffs on her wrist.
“Hey,” she said.
“Let’s go,” the man in the dark hat said.
“I want to see a badge.”
Suddenly a man stepped out of the shadows in front of them.
“What are you doing?”
The two men grinned. “Having fun.”
“Let her go,” he said. She gazed at him, he had the most gorgeous head of hair with streaks of gray in it. His eyes were an intense shade of jade. And from what she could see beneath his suit coat, there were hard rigid muscles.
She felt the handcuffs being released and the two young men grinned.
“We meant no harm, it’s just a prank we like to play,” they said.
“Get out of here,” the man told them.
After they were gone, she glanced at him.
“Sorry about that. They’re my younger brothers. They get into mischief.”
Stacy gazed at the man. “And who are you?”
“I’m Luis Nash, Preston’s older brother,” he said. “I just got home from the Navy. I own the Rocking B Ranch.”
Just then another man walked up beside him. “Who is this?”
“Stacy Rivera,” she said. “I’m Kalie’s friend.”
“Trevor Garcia,” the man, said his dark eyes skimming over her, sending a ripple of desire through her.
Those dark brown eyes were filled with sexual heat. A heat she would love to explore.
“You were the maid of honor,” Luis said as he moved a little closer.
“Yes,” she replied. Glancing at the two of them, her heart beat a little faster. There was something so damn attractive about these two handsome cowboys.
She’d been here a week and during that time, she’d learned so much about this little community. And she was curious about what happened between a woman and two men.
