“Thank you. You have a great hair and makeup team.”
She nods. “One of the best in the business. We know what we have.”
“I’m nervous,” I say, looking around. “I’m used to doing this alone. Look at all these people.”
She pats my arm. “They are all here to make you look great. We’re a team. No need to be intimidated.”
“I’ll try.”
She walks me around to the back of the counter. All of the ingredients and supplies are laid out. We’ve rehearsed, and I’ve spent a few hours alone in the studio kitchen just to feel comfortable with the layout.
“I know it’s different than what you were doing before, but it’s also the same. Don’t forget that.”
I nod. She’s right. I’ll try to block everything else out.
“You ready?”
I nod.
“Quiet on the set,” she calls.
I close my eyes for a moment and center myself.

Maggie: We’re dying to know.
Juno: Honestly, it was great.
Elizabeth: I knew you’d crush it. Congrats!
Juno: I had so much fun. I doubt I’ll sleep tonight.
Olivia: Oh, I love that. I’m so glad you’re doing something that makes you happy.
Eli: Do you film again tomorrow?
Juno: Yes. And then break for the weekend.
James: I’m sure you’ll do just as well tomorrow.
Juno: Thanks. I’m feeling more confident now. I think tomorrow will be great.
