“I already knew that.” He smiles at me. “Come over here.”
We’re sitting on the roof of the house we’ve rented watching the sunset and dozens of hot air balloons drift across the sky.
“It’s so beautiful,” I say.
“There’s got to be over a hundred right now,” he says.
“Stunning.”
“The whole city is,” he responds.
“Cappadocia has been magical. I’m glad we’re ending here.”
He kisses the side of my head. “Me too. I’m ready to get home though.”
I look over at him. “Yeah?”
“I’ll go on an adventure with you any day, but I can’t wait to make a home with you.”
I lean up and kiss him. “I can’t wait for that too.”
“Thank you for choosing me,” he says.
I kiss him one more time before leaning my head on his shoulders and watching the hot air balloons disappear over the horizon.
“We chose each other,” I respond.
“Yeah. We did,” he says softly.
