We eat in silence and then she says, “I don’t know much about Roman mythology. Did you know about Juno?”

I nod. “The main gods are Jupiter and Juno – equivalent to Zeus and Hera.”

“God, this is gorgeous,” Juno says, looking out over the Mediterranean Sea. We’ve chartered a boat. A yacht to see Capri and the Bay of Naples.

“Thanks, Luca,” Juno says as he hands her a glass. She takes a sip and then says to him. “It’s delicious. Did you make it?”

“I did,” he answers.

“Maybe you’ll have to show me how?” she says.

Eli’s eyes flash over to her, and he mutters, “Good lord.”

Luca shifts uncomfortably. “Does anyone need anything else?”

“No, Luca,” Declan says. “Thanks for your help.”
