My eyes widened in shock, and it took a moment to realize I was holding my breath. I drew in a slow, deep breath.

“Saylor Night, you’ve managed to capture my heart with a single smile. And one hot tea spilled all over my expensive-ass suit. Which, by the way, you never did pay to have cleaned.”

I covered my mouth and let out a sob-giggle. My eyes filled with tears as I stared into his golden brown eyes.

“M-Mason. This is crazy.”

He smiled the most breathtaking smile I’d ever seen. I dropped my hands to my sides as he looked deep into my eyes and slowly shook his head, his hands gently cradling my face.

“No, Saylor. I think this is love.”

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Mason

A SINGLE TEARslowly made a path down Saylor’s cheek. I gently wiped it away with my thumb as I leaned in closer and brushed my lips across hers. My heart was surely going to beat straight out of my chest.

Closing her eyes, Saylor simply whispered my name. “Mason.”

I couldn’t wait a second longer. I pressed my lips to hers as goosebumps erupted over my body. I’d never in my life experienced such a feeling from a single kiss.

I ran my tongue over her lip, causing her to open to me. The taste of her was enough to drive me insane. I needed more. We both moaned into each other’s mouths as our tongues found the perfect rhythm. When her hands came up and grabbed onto my arms, I knew she felt it too.

Earth. Fucking. Shattering.

One kiss. What in the hell would making love to her be like?

Pulling back, I looked into her eyes. “We’re taking the rest of the day off.”

She laughed. “It’s only three. You don’t want to work for another few hours?”

My expression turned to one of utter confusion. “Work or make love to you? I think I pick option two.”

Saylor chuckled as I kissed her on the nose. “I need to wrap up one thing, then I’m shutting my computer down,” I said. “Do you need to take care of anything?”

With a grin, she said, “I only need to delete something off my computer. Everything else can wait until tomorrow.”

A warmth spread through my body and seemed to settle in the middle of my chest. “Or Wednesday. I’m thinking we’re both going to be feeling a little under the weather tomorrow.”

Her mouth opened slightly as her eyes sparkled. “You’re bad, Mr. Quinn.”

With a wink, I replied, “You haven’t seen anything yet, Ms. Night.”

“You needed me, Mr. Quinn?” Ashley asked from where she stood on the other side of my desk.

“Yes, Saylor…Ms. Night and I will be leaving for the rest of the day. I highly doubt we’ll be in tomorrow as we’re…researching something together.”

I had to hand to Ashley, she was doing a good job of hiding her smile, but the red on her cheeks gave her away.

“Yes, Mr. Quinn. I understand.”

With a grin, I added, “And I want you to finish up anything that’s pressing and then take the rest of the day and tomorrow off as well.”

Her eyes widened in shock. “You want me to take tomorrow off?”

“Paid, of course. I also need you to do some research. The new spa that opened around the corner—have you seen it?”
