Inside the warehouse,we walk into the portion of the room that sees most of the guests. And it’s no surprise that both men are already naked and chained down to sturdy metal chairs that are bolted to the concrete floor.

Sitting in one chair is Eden’s sweaty uncle, laboring hard to breathe through the gag we have taped into his mouth. Tears are streaming down his cheeks as he looks wild-eyed at us.

“So, this is the man who sent my dear angel to sin, to hurt me, to break my heart,” I say as I move up to him.

But I stop speaking to him.

He’s not ready just yet.

I want Mickey to feel true fear before we work on him.

And it’s still up in the air if we kill him or not.

But the other asshole…

He’s a different story.

The unknown Russian man who’s obviously spent time in a gulag somewhere, if I’m not mistaken, sits there, glaring at us. His mouth constantly trying to push the gag taped in his mouth out.

The sailing ship on his left shoulder interests me a bit.

Pointing at the tattoo, I say, “Simon, this one’s been locked up and likes to escape.”

Thaddeus walks over and pulls a switchblade from his pocket. I watch him start trying to cut off the tattooed epaulettes on the man’s shoulder.

“He was a high ranking one, as well,” I say.

The Russian man wails loudly behind the ball gag. He’s pissed himself and scared. You can see it in his eyes.

“Wait,” Simon calls out. “We need to photograph all his tattoos before we get too far into the interrogation.”

“Damn.” Thaddeus sighs and pulls his blade out from under the skin.

Sighing as well, I look around us then ask, “Where’s the camera?”

Simon snaps his fingers. “In the SUV.”

“I’ll get it,” I say and head back out the way I came into the building.

Stomping feet have my head turning and I see Thaddeus catching up to walk beside me. “Was that really her?”

“Who? The woman in the photo?” I ask.

Nodding his head, he waits for me to answer.

I grin at him. “Yes.”

“Set it up,” Thaddeus says.

Nodding my head, this time I feel a certain amount of happiness. I don’t know why, even the voices in my head are confused by my actions right now.

Going to the front of the building, I open the door for Thaddeus to step out first.

I take one step after him then an explosion of blood and bits of skull hit my face.

Thaddeus collapses to the floor, his head missing.
