We have Kiki and Tatum to thank for all of us being here tonight. If it weren’t for them getting together, I never would have met TJ in Ireland, Sarah most likely wouldn’t have had thecojonesto kiss Lex, and Andie would have never applied for a job at Nashville Stylists. Funny how one little chance meeting changes everything.

I get up on the bar, put my fingers in my mouth, and whistle loudly. Everyone looks up in my direction. “Sorry for that, but I need yer attention.”

“Well get on with it, ye gobshite,” Lex yells.

“Shut yer bake, ye muppet.” I smile. “First, I’d like to say thank ye to my husband for helpin’ raise the two most amazin’ girls. I love ye,mo shíorghrá.”

Everyone cheers while TJ blows me a kiss.

I raise my glass. “Whiskey all around for an ol’ Irish toast.”

Our server, Mac, passes out whiskey to all my friends and family. Everyone raises their glass.

“I love ye guys.”

“Awe! We love you, Connor,” they shout. There are some hoots and whistles. I wave my hand to settle them down. I wink at my husband who whistles the loudest.

“There are good ships, and there are wood ships, and the ships that sail at sea. But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be. Slainte.”

“Slainte!” everyone calls out, downing their whiskey shots.

“It’s last call, ye lovable muckers. Ye done have to go home, but ye can’t stay here.”

The End
