“W--What are you doing here?” I stammered.

“I heard you taught classes.”

“Some days, yeah,” I admitted. “Between shifts at the spa.”

Jay looked somewhat impressed. “So you’re workingtwojobs, then.”

I shrugged apprehensively. “Sort of.”

God, why was I so nervous! Was it because he looked absolutely gorgeous in his tight jeans and mud-caked work boots? Or was it the fact that many of the women from the class were still lingering at the doorway, eyeing him up and down?

“I never knew you taught yoga,” Jay said. “I mean, I always knew you were spiritual. Tyler talked about that a lot. He said you brought out the zen in him.”

“He did, huh?”

Jay smiled and scratched at his sexy, masculine jaw. “Sometimes. When he wasn’t talking aboutotherparts of you.”

I fought the urge to blush. Conversations with Jay had always been playful, casual, funny. But now there was a whole different facet to our usual back-and-forth banter. Jay and I had hadsex. And not just any sex either, but scorching hot threesome(foursome?)sex that blew away any casual, one-to-one thing we might’ve had. And we’d done it in front of Tyler, his best friend. With Tyler’s blessing. With Tyler’s assistance, even.

Holy shit.

It hadn’t fully hit me yet, how much the dynamic would change between the three of us. Gone were the playful flirtations and “what if?” fantasies any one of us might’ve played with in the back of our minds. Replacing it now were real-life memories of actually doing it. Forevermore, our heads would always be filled with the amazing events of the other night.

“Are you hungry?”

And now here Jay was, asking me to lunch. Right in front of the remains of my class, who shifted excitedly as they pretended not to eavesdrop.

“I could eat.”

“Good,” Jay smiled again. “Because after watching you twist that body into a pretzel for the past forty-five minutes, I’m fucking starving.”

With a glance at the studio’s big bay windows, I smirked back at him. “You were really stalking me that long, huh?”

“You bet.”

I slipped my yoga mat into my cubby and slung my towel over my shoulder. A minute later we were walking the salt-strewn sidewalk, with Jay slipping his hand into mine. As our fingers interlaced, it seemed oddly natural somehow. Even though we’d never held hands before.

“We need to talk about something.”

Jay’s voice was serious, and that worried me. Jay’s voice was never serious.

“Is it about Tyler?” I asked.

He nodded casually, leading me along. I hadn’t even wondered where we were going, really. I just figured he knew.

“Is he angry at me?” I asked for some reason.

“Angry?” Jay chuckled. “Hell no.”

“Is he… jealous?”

The words just sort of tumbled out, without much thought on my end. I was going with gut instinct. Wondering what could be bothering my ex-boyfriend, if not the fact that I’d technically slept with his best friend.

In front of him,the little voice in my head reminded me.

“Wait, stop.”

I forced my tired legs to a halt, right in the middle of the sidewalk. I had to know.
