The car creaks as it moves back and forth with our frantic movements. He hits just the right spot—he knows my body so well. I feel my body starting to react as goose bumps pebble over my skin. His hand slides down around behind me, his middle finger pressing on my ass, and I let out a moan as he inserts his finger, pulsing at the same time as we fuck.

“Oh God, Blake.” I moan, continuing to ride him.

“Come. Come now, Zoey,” he demands. His other hand slides around between us and presses on my clit. The second he does, it’s like stimulation overload. My body shakes and heat washes over me so incredibly hot that I can’t control the feeling. It makes me dizzy as my head throws back in ecstasy. My fingernails clench into his shoulders as I scream out his name, and the explosion hits. “Blake!”

He groans, his fingers gripping my hips, pumping me on and off him faster. I’m trying to keep up, though I am spent. I clench my pussy around his cock to help get him there, and instantly, his head jolts forward into my breasts, his teeth clamping down onto my skin. I gasp as he bites my flesh, sending pressure all the way to my clit, which almost makes me come again, and then I feel his release as he comes hard.

“Fuuuck!” He moans the word against my skin.

My fingers slide into his hair, gently caressing as his mouth slowly leaves my breast. His breaths are fast and frantic as he looks up at me through lust-filled lashes, and I press my forehead to his. “If that’s what married sex is like, we should’ve gotten married two years ago when I met you.”

“And to think, we haven’t even made it to the hotel yet.” I laugh.

He smiles wide. “It’s going to be a good night.”

I caress his cheek, leaning in and kissing him, then pull back, staring into his eyes. “It’s going to be a good life.”

He smiles. “Yeah, wife… it is.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Blake

Nine Days Later

Because our wedding was short and simple, our honeymoon was basically nonexistent.

Zoey and I returned to work the following Monday and have been at work for a week, getting back on with life and trying to get our affairs in order.

We’ve been meeting with Cleo and talking to her about custody and how to go about it when Kyle eventually comes for us. But Cleo says the fact that Zoey and I are now in what appears to be a stable relationship, we’re living together, and Hailee is more than happy at home with us—it’s a win in our column.

Plus, we now have the money to fight this. So whatever Kyle has to throw at us, I have so much fucking more.

We also got a reporter for theBusiness Times Magazineto do a revised piece on Zoey and me. We showed them pictures of the wedding, including ones of me giving Hailee her crown ring. They all showed how happy the three of us looked. Needless to say, the backtracking they did in their article was priceless, especially when defamation of character was mentioned. So this morning, Nash, Lucas, and I are sitting in Nash’s office waiting on the opinion polls to roll in while I sort through an incredibly important, confidential folder.

“I still can’t believe out of the three of us, you beat us all to the altar, Blake,” Lucas states with a chuckle, then munches on a beignet, the powdered sugar falling all over his tie.

I chuckle while shaking my head. “Same. I, for sure, thought Nash would fall first.”

He smiles. “I’m working on it. With Brianna being an event organizer, she has trouble planning an event for herself. She decides on one thing, then changes her mind a minute later. At this rate, the baby will come before we get married.”

Lucas and I both laugh. “I’m surprised Zoey wanted to go with the courthouse idea considering how she loves to organize. But I guess we needed to get this done quickly.”

Nash refreshes his computer and rolls his shoulders. “It’s crazy how getting married for you guys was convenient for both of you but also worked out well because the feelings ended up being there after the whole fake-dating fiasco.”

I smirk, nodding my head. “Who knew me stepping in that day Kyle was being a dick to Zoey would turn out with me putting a ring on her finger?”

Lucas grins. “I knew you and Zoey had good chemistry. I teased her about it way before all this started. I remember asking her what you’d be like with Hailee, and she completely blew me off… I saw the writing on the wall before I think you even did, Blake.”

Rolling my shoulders, I shrug. “Guess it was meant to be.”

“Okay, it’s loading,” Nash relays as he clicks on the opinion poll linked to theBusiness Times Magazinewebsite article. My eyes scan over the picture of Zoey and me at our wedding, looking so happy, and little Hailee is smiling her little face off.
