And I was finally going to give her that.

“Where are we going?” Elaina asked me a few minutes into our trip.

“Somewhere quiet,” I informed her. Knowing Elaina, once I put this ring on her finger, she’d jump my bones, and I needed to make sure we didn’t end up arrested. That would just put a fucking damper on things, and I wasn’t sure Elaina could handle being arrested. The restraints could very well send her over the edge.

Elaina turned and watched the scenery pass, her head resting on the window as she did so. She was peaceful and content. I remembered there being a time in her life when she was deathly afraid of me and what it meant to be mine.

Now, my ownership of her was a security blanket that she loved wrapping herself up in. And every time I had her tracker changed out, she just smiled at me.

She knew with me, she was safe, and I’d never let anything happen to her. It was more than her just being my property. I fucking loved her.

And that should have terrified her. Because the lengths I would go to for someone I loved… There were no bounds. Which meant I would do anything to keep her.

After a few more minutes, I pulled off onto a dirt road and followed it until it ended on a sort of cul-de-sac, though nothing was around us except fields. Elaina sat up straighter when I turned the engine off.

“Stay there,” I ordered before I pushed open my door and got out. I rounded the hood and then opened her door, helping her down from the SUV before I walked her to the back and opened the hatch.

“I wanted to ask you something,” I said once she was settled in the back, her feet dangling a few feet off the ground.

“What’s that?” she asked, her brows furrowing over her blue eyes.

I grabbed the ring box from my pocket and flipped it open. The center of the ring was a blue sapphire with diamonds around the rest of the silver band. The blue sapphire matched her eyes perfectly.

She blinked, staring at it in disbelief, her lips parted just the tiniest bit.

“I know Joey is your husband, and I know you’re technically mine from when I bought you,” she smiled a little, her eyes glistening with tears, “but I also know you like having something tangible to show my devotion to you. So, I wanted to give you this ring as a symbol that I’m not going anywhere. I am yours as much as you are mine.”

She sniffled and held out her hand to me. I slipped the ring onto her right ring finger before grasping her chin and pulling her lips to mine. She moaned into the kiss and opened her mouth for me. Our tongues danced together as I pushed her shirt up. She whined when I pulled back to pull her shirt over her head, and then she dove right back in, kissing me with even more hunger than before, her hands clawing at my belt buckle.

Her bra went next, and then my belt was undone. Fucking knew she would be jumping my bones the moment that ring was on her finger. She was so predictable.

“Fucking hell, little one,” I growled before kissing her harder, to the point blood pooled on my tongue, her lip bleeding.

“More,” she panted.

I undid her shorts and yanked them down her legs with her panties before grasping her thighs and yanking her to the edge of the SUV. Gripping my cock, I slid my head between her folds, slicking myself up before sinking inside of her.

“Yes!” she cried out, her back arching as she reached for me. I dug my fingers into her hips and screwed up inside of her.

The sound of someone slowing down on the main road met my ears. I halted and looked over my shoulder, cursing at the unmarked police car that was now turning down the fucking dirt road we were on.

“Shit,” I swore, pulling out of her. “Cops,” I told Elaina when she pouted at me.

Her eyes widened in horror, and she scrambled as quickly as she could to get dressed while I fixed my clothes. I’d been wanting to fucking avoid this.

Godfuckingdammit.

“Hands above your head!” the officer shouted as he stepped out, “and step away from the vehicle.”

Elaina’s eyes welled with tears as she looked at me, panic shimmering in her eyes.

“Do as he says, pequeña,” I gently ordered, switching to Spanish for a split second, knowing it would calm her a little. “It’s going to be okay.”

Her lips trembled as she placed her hands above her head, her shorts still undone. I stepped forward, ignoring the officer who was barking at me to step back from her, and fixed her shorts. Then, I kissed her. “Be brave, little one.”
