“God, Clayton…” My voice almost expires.

“You okay?”

“Yeah… I think…”

He smirks. I don’t have to say any more. He knows I’ve just had the biggest orgasm of my life.

Now, the comfort of his bed and his hug are amplified after such a brutal passage of time.

“I didn’t think you’d go all out on me like that,” I quip.

“What can I say? I only offer the whole package.”

He has certainly brought the meaning of ‘the whole package’ to a new level.

“Who installed all that? Did you swear them to secrecy?”

“Baby Belle, I build some of the largest yachts in the world, and I work with US Air Force’s most advanced technologies. I fitted that room while I was having my morning snacks.”

I giggle, curling under the covers.

“What can I say? You’re my genie,” I murmur.

He meets my lips, saying, “And I’m out of the bottle.”

“Raffi, you’re going to miss the bus!” I yell at my son. He’s really slow this morning. Last night he spent time with Matty and Wyatt, the pilot—or ‘tour guide,’ as Clayton said—playing with his collections of toy planes and miniature trains.

“Coming, Mom!”

“You’ve got your lunch box?”

“Yes.”

“Good boy.” I give him a peck. “Go!”

“Bye, Mom!” He swings his backpack and rushes out the door.

I’d forgotten how long his legs are and how fast he can run. He gets to the stop before the bus arrives.

My landline rings. No one rings me on that phone except for telemarketers and the occasional overseas calls.

“Hello?” I utter my greeting suspiciously.

“Hey, it’s me.”

I huff. “Thomas?”

“I’m ringing you on a secure line, and I haven’t got long.”

“What’s happening? Where are you?”

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Why?”
