“Can you modify it from the outside?”

“Nope. Already tried. It just keeps going, doesn’t give two olives about me.”

“What can you do?”

“Nothing! The only thing I see moving is my favorite Kitty Cat girl! This code is just a damn loop and it won’t let me squeeze in!”

“A loop...”

Suddenly, Eden had an idea.

“Do you see a gravity code?”

“Gravity? Uh... Oh, good question, Kitty. That’s funny... The gravity code seems to be modified too.”

Eden nodded. She had found her clue. She took a deep breath, jumped onto another cube, and grabbed the edges of it, lying on her stomach. Then, she took a deep breath and pulled herself to get underneath it, only holding on to the edges. She had picked a smaller cube on purpose so that she could grab the opposite edges. Using all her strength, she kept going until she was under the cube and holding on to both sides with her arms. She then pivoted her body to lift her legs and put her feet against its surface. Now, she was literally upside-down, her feet on the bottom of the cube. She tried to take deep breaths, ignoring the blood that wanted to rush to her head. This wasn’t real. Her body wasn’t really upside down...

“Oh... Oh! Oh! My Kitty babe is a genius!”

She heard Loir frantically typing while singing some new stupid song.

“Kitty-kitty pong! Kitty-kitty pong-pong! Chabada-bada, my Kitty kit-kat girl is a genius!”

Suddenly, things changed around Eden. All of the cubes stopped moving and turned black. She felt a strange movement and suddenly, she didn’t feel like she was upside down anymore. Nothing had actually moved but the space above her was now the ceiling and that feeling of being pulled down was gone. She let out a long breath of relief.

“Prepare to run, baby; your delivery man’s almost there!” chuckled Loir.

Eden rolled her eyes but when a cube suddenly vanished on her left and opened a door into a new, dark corridor, she jumped in, ready. This one was even more narrow than before and Eden had to be on all fours, in the dark, to keep going.

“You couldn’t have opened that bigger...” she groaned while squeezing her body through.

“Well, I don’t think that even this super duper cute kitty is welcome where you’re going... Oh, there comes the second fence, Kitty, get ready... Oh, my god, I’m hungry again. Do you think I can order another pizza for breakfast? Have you tried them? They are just so amazing! I just can’t believe they won’t put anchovies or pineapples on it! They call me crazy!”

“I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you are crazy, Loir...” grimaced Eden, still struggling in the narrow corridor, “...and do something about this space, I’m running out of air!”

“Nah, you’re fine and almost at the end. Hey, can this be called a kitty hole? A kitty tube?”

“I’m going to kill you.”

“Oh, I wish there was a way to take some screenshots of this, my little Kitty. You’re so cute! Did you see I even put some details on your tail? It changes according to your movements and moods, just like a real cat! Oh, I’m just too talented for this world. I’m a genius.”

“Loir, you actually spent time on stupid shit like that? Are you kidding me?!”

“Don’t yell, it’s the inner artist in me. I can do anything. Plus, I hesitated with the Valkyrie outfit too, so I also lost a lot of time on that. Oh, you would have been so cute in a nice little helmet with wings...”

Eden would have slammed her head into one of those walls if they hadn’t been so close. Thankfully, she was almost there; she could literally see the end of the tunnel.

“Are you sure the next one is the last security?”

“Yep, the last border before we get to the secret land they don’t want us to get in, with all their naughty-bitty secrets. I bet there will be some nasty traps there too, though... Damn, I should have added more fur.”

“Loir, focus, for goodness sake...”

“I am focusing! I was torn between a marvelous lilac E39FFC or a more risky taffy pink like FA86C4.”

Eden could see the colors of her cat hands shifting between several shades of pink as he was talking. She rolled her eyes and kept going, ignoring Loir, who was having fun changing her fur color. She was almost at the end of that tunnel but it was strangely quiet on the other side. Not completely quiet; more like the kind of quiet one could hear in a large open space...

She finally arrived at the end. There, the tunnel was strangely shifting from a square shape to a round one and it was going down. Eden frowned but kept going, even when she noticed that the tunnel was descending... more and more. At least it was getting larger but also more slippery. A toboggan slide...? She let herself slip and was suddenly engulfed into a spiral, following this weird tube without any idea where she was going to land. She didn’t like that.
